White House press secretary Jen Psaki just stepped in it again.
Psaki can’t help herself.
And Jen Psaki picked a fight with Fox News that immediately backfired in a huge way.
As American Patriot Daily reports:
In an appearance on the left-wing podcast “Pod Save America,” Jen Psaki mocked Americans’ growing concern about the consequences of soft-on-crime policies such as no cash bail, defunding the police, and George Soros-backed prosecutors that refused to enforce the law.
Psaki made it sound like Americans concerned about the fact that 12 cities run by Democrats set murder records in 2021 was a figment of Fox News Channel’s imagination.
“You know, I am not here to work for Peter Doocy or Fox,” Psaki began. “I will say, if you look at how it’s portrayed, how my answers are portrayed, even how I say ‘no, we don’t think crime is good and here’s all the things we’ve done,’ including the thing that makes Republicans crazy, just anecdotally by the hate tweets I get on Twitter when I say this is that they voted against funding for local cops’ programs because the American Rescue Plan, also that Biden has supported $300 billion more in funding and at the same time he also thinks we need police reform – it’s like they don’t know what to do with that.
“But every time we say that it makes them crazy. I think it speaks to, if you look at Fox on a daily basis … on Fox is Jeanine Pirro talking about soft on crime consequences,” Psaki added. “I mean, what does that even mean? So there’s an alternate universe on some coverage and what’s scary about it is a lot of people watch that and they think the president isn’t doing anything to address people’s safety in New York and that couldn’t be further from the truth.”
National Fraternal Order of Police President Patrick Yoes was one of the tens of millions of Americans that did not find Psaki’s comments amusing.
Yoes blasted Psaki dismissing the consequences of soft-on-crime policies.
“She may feel safe in the White House, one of the most protected buildings in the United States, but not everyone feels safe in their workplace. The world we find ourselves in is dangerous and increasingly more so. Tens of thousands of people have been the victims of crime this month alone and some of them never made it back home,” Yoes declared.
Psaki may think the consequences of crime are a joke.
But 28 police officers died in the line of duty in January as Joe Biden and Democrats allowed a war on cops to take place on the streets of American cities.
Polls show crime is rising up the ranks of issues Americans are concerned about so Democrats may not find crime so amusing this November.
