The far left’s war on Christians is intensifying.
Each passing day, the left comes up with another way to attack Christianity.
Now Yale is doing its part to ramp up the attack on faith with one awful move.
One of the most prestigious universities in the country has become a hotbed of regressive leftist thought.
Out of all the crazy leftist protests America has seen over the past few years, one of the most ridiculous and viral incidents happened at Yale.
A group of students yelled at a distinguished faculty member after his wife, also distinguished faculty, wrote an email to students saying they possessed the maturity to choose responsible Halloween costumes.
Video of the emotionally unhinged students haranguing the professor for over an hour was circulated far and wide.
Sadly, the left wasn’t embarrassed by the video, as they should’ve been.
Instead, one of the students received an award for her “courage” during the incident, and these type of ridiculous protests have proliferated around the country.
However, Yale is back at it again.
This time they don’t have Halloween costumes in the crosshairs, they have Christians.
Leftist students at Yale Law School are looking to bar a lawyer at the Christian-based Alliance Defending Freedom from coming to campus to speak about the Colorado cake shop story.
The landmark case went all the way to the Supreme Court, and they determined in a 7-2 decision that the Colorado Civil Rights Commission overstepped its bounds in harassing Masterpiece CakeShop owner Jack Phillips.
The case only became prominent because a gay couple was specifically hunting for a cake shop that wouldn’t service a gay wedding.
This bad faith targeting of Phillips is completely ignored by the left.
He’s simply an avatar for the Christianity they despise and want to dismantle.
The leftist students also demanded that Yale stop funding student internships at Christian-based organizations.
Sadly but predictably, the school caved to the students’ demands.
Texas Senator Ted Cruz found the entire ordeal disgusting and chimed in.
Senator Cruz said in a letter, “The First Amendment protects both free speech and the Free Exercise of religion. Yale’s new policy does neither.”
Cruz is clearly right.
Leftists fear free speech and religion because those are the strongest bulwarks to their terrible, authoritarian ideas.
Cruz continued, “Instead, it appears that the policy arose from unconstitutional animus and a specific discriminatory intent both to blacklist Christian organizations like the Alliance Defending Freedom and to punish Yale students whose values or religious faith lead them to work there.”
This is also correct.
The left constantly labels any person or organization that disagrees with them as a “hate group.”
It’s an effective tactic to shut down discussion, but more and more people are catching onto the game.
The left won’t stop until America is completely secular.
Unfortunately, atheism is currently the religious ideology that has a plurality in America.
That’s a troubling sign for a country founded on Christian ideals.
It should come as no surprise that America’s cultural decay has coincided with the loss in religiosity.
It’s important to push back against this type of religious intolerance at Yale because an atheist society is ripe for collapse.
If you believe in nothing, you’ll fall for anything.
Leftists are falling for any nonsense idea the campus intelligentsia cooks up in their echo chambers.
It has to stop.
America needs to remain a strong Christian country if it wants to survive.
