Censorship of conservatives is getting out of hand.
Instead of denying it like they have for years, liberals now say that the censorship is justified because people on the right are “evil.”
Now CNN is engaging in terrible behavior that could take Sean Hannity off the air.
CNN’s so-called media watchdog Brian Shelter and its Senior Media Reporter Oliver Darcy are engaging in terrible Stalinist tactics.
They’re using their platforms not to spread their ideas, but to get conservatives banned.
Darcy responded with glee when prominent right-wingers were purged from Facebook with zero warning or provocation.
He’s also called for more censorship.
And the tech giants are listening.
As mentioned before, Facebook booted “dangerous” characters from its platform, and Twitter has routinely done the same thing.
But Google may be doing something far more nefarious.
The preeminent search engine and growing tech behemoth is stealthily burying conservative websites.
Based on a study by the Columbia Journalism Review, Google heavily pushes people toward left-wing sources.
The study found that out of the top 20 search results for the phrase “Top Stories,” Google’s search engine relied on CNN more than any other news site.
And out of the top 20, only one source leaned right: Fox News.
CNN purports to be a non-partisan entity, but they’re very clearly on the left.
And even though Fox News dominates CNN in ratings on a consistent basis, Google’s search engine prioritizes the left-wing source.
CJR’s study also said, “Our data shows that 62.4 percent of article impressions were from sources rated by that research as left-leaning, whereas 11.3 percent were from sources rated as right-leaning.”
That means left-leaning sources are favored by almost six-fold, and this is despite the fact several right-leaning news sources generate far more web traffic.
So even though the American electorate is relatively split down the middle, people are far more likely to get search results from left-wing sources.
This is a clear sign that bias at Google is baked into the cake.
CNN is fighting a two-front war to silence Fox News.
The left-wing activist network wants to choke off Fox News’s financial well-being by depriving them of search traffic which generates ad revenue.
They have also engaged in high-profile pressure campaigns against on-air advertisers for Tucker Carlson, Laura Ingraham and Sean Hannity’s programs.
Their ultimate goal is to force Fox to choose between their primetime hosts and TV sponsorship money.
The James Damore Memo-gate controversy (Damore was fired by Google for a benign internal memo that suggested there may be biological differences between men and women) showed just how much the authoritarian left mindset permeates the company, and this CJR study confirmed it.
If that isn’t enough, leaked documents showed that engineers within Google believed that conservative sites should be deranked in comparison to the liberal media sites.
The left is all about control.
They care more about the narrative than the truth.
That’s why Google’s power should be alarming.
Unless you’re actively seeking opinions from conservative voices, your chances of finding them via search are statistically unlikely.
And as news stories fade into the past, Google becomes a powerful gatekeeper to the truth.
As the dystopian novel 1984 taught us, “Who controls the past controls the future. Who controls the present controls the past.”
The tech overlords and their compatriots in the so-called mainstream media want a monopoly on the present, because they cannot abide by Donald Trump winning re-election in 2020.
They don’t want to lose control of the narrative again.
