Devin Nunes made himself the biggest thorn in the side of Barack Obama, his Deep State allies and the fake news reporters they teamed with to spread the Russian collusion hoax.
Now that the Mueller report is in and the American people see that the fake news media and Obama Deep State perpetrated a fraud with the Russia story, Nunes is fighting to hold the worst actors accountable.
That’s why he filed this lawsuit that has Obama and his allies in the media quaking with fear.
Devin Nunes already filed a $250 million lawsuit against Twitter over their discriminatory policies against conservatives.
The California Congressman followed that up with a $150 million lawsuit against McClatchy news for character assassination by colluding with political operatives to thwart his investigation into Hillary Clinton and the Russian collusion hoax.
Nunes appeared on Sean Hannity’s program, citing the fact that McClatchy repeatedly published a fake news story claiming Robert Mueller had evidence that Trump lawyer Michael Cohen traveled to Prague to meet with Russian intelligence officials and schemed to use hacked emails to rig the 2016 presidential election.
This hoax allegation was contained in the Christopher Steele dossier and published by friendly reporters.
“[A] couple of reporters there were the biggest perpetrators of the Russia hoax,” Nunes told Hannity. “And don’t forget — they also targeted the National Rifle Association. They targeted a lawyer, Cleta Mitchell. So, all of this was done in concert while they were slandering and attacking me, defaming me, attacking Republicans. And the whole time, they were getting this information from someone. And so part of this lawsuit is not only do they need to retract everything they did against me, but they also need to come clean with the American people. Retract all of their fake news stories. And so this is part of the broader clean-up.”
“Remember a few weeks ago, I filed against Twitter — that they were censoring conservatives,” Nunes added. “McClatchy is one of the biggest offenders of this. But we’re coming after the rest of them. I think people are just beginning to wake up now. I’m serious. I’m coming to clean up all of the mess. So, if you’re out there and you lied, and you defamed, we’re going to come after you.”
Nunes’ suit against McClatchy hinges on Nunes’ allegation that McClatchy published a false story implying Nunes was involved with a boat trip fundraiser where prostitutes and cocaine were found onboard.
Nunes alleges that a May 2018 Fresno Bee story entitled “A yacht, cocaine, prostitutes: Winery partly owned by Nunes sued after fundraiser event” was knowingly false.
In the suit, Nunes alleges that the reporter Mackenzie Mays tweeted about the article and included the words “woman” “Nunes” and “cocaine” in her tweet for emphasis.
In addition, Nunes’ complaint alleges that McClatchy falsely called the event a fundraiser and that Nunes was involved despite allegedly knowing that the cruise was the result of a charitable donation and Nunes had nothing to do with the cruise.
“The McClatchy headline intentionally omitted the word ‘charity’ and labeled the event a ‘fundraiser’ in a clear effort to imply it was a political fundraising event that a politician like Congressman Nunes would naturally attend,” the complaint stated.
For two plus years, media outlets conspired with political operatives and Deep State agents to spread fake news and lies about Donald Trump and Russia as well as Republicans that stood up to the smear campaign.
Now that the Mueller report is in the bag and it is clear to all that the idea of Russian collusion was a Democrat scam, Devin Nunes is out to send a message that this should never happen again.
