The corporate press spent four years vilifying Donald Trump around the clock.
Democrats and their media allies were determined to take out Trump by any means necessary.
But CNN was forced to admit one truth about Trump’s record.
Studies have shown that well over 90% of CNN’s coverage was negative toward Donald Trump.
That only intensified during the run-up to the 2020 election as other so-called mainstream media outlets did the same.
But now that Biden has been deemed president-elect, CNN is coming clean about Trump’s record.
The network admitted that Trump won the messaging on the economy.
“Although judging a president’s economic performance can be difficult because there’s only so much he can control, Americans at large, and voters specifically, seemed to agree with Trump…If the economy were the only thing that mattered, [Trump] probably would have won reelection.”
Many Americans didn’t even know about Trump’s job numbers because that information was downplayed or ignored by the press.
“Consider the latest poll from Quinnipiac University. When voters were asked whether Trump’s policies helped, hurt or made no difference to the state of the economy, 50% said they helped…Only 30% said his policies hurt.”
That dovetails with an October poll from Gallup that said 56% of Americans believed they were better off under Trump than they were four years ago, while only 32% said they were worse off.
The poll also showed that Americans weren’t bullish on Biden’s economic agenda.
“Voters don’t expect that type of record from Trump’s successor, President-elect Joe Biden. Just 39% say Biden’s economic policies will help the country, while 38% say they’ll hurt.”
It’s easy to imagine why. Biden signaled he would be in favor of ridiculous environmentalist boondoggles and regulations that could greatly hamper the energy sector.
The outlet even admitted that the American people preferred Trump’s economy over Barack Obama’s.
“Indeed, on the economy, Trump seems to have bested not just his successor but his predecessor, Barack Obama. When asked by Quinnipiac in November 2016, 44% of voters said that Obama’s policies helped the economy compared to 38% who said that they hurt them. Going back even further, it’s pretty clear that Trump’s record is viewed as one of the better ones for a first term over the last 45 years.”
If the corporate press hadn’t been so blatantly against Trump, his economic record would’ve been better known by the American people and he likely would’ve won re-election.
Democrats often lie and say Trump was only good for the rich, but real wages increased across the board and the middle class saw a significant bump.
Americans will find out the hard way when Biden reconstitutes the D.C. swamp and sells-out the country to global interests.
