Sean Hannity has been on Fox News for 25 year.
His audience thought they had seen everything.
But Sean Hannity couldn’t believe he was filmed doing one never-before-seen thing.
As American Patriot Daily reports:
On a recent broadcast of Hannity’s primetime Fox News Channel broadcast, the show came back from its final commercial break and Hannity was caught off guard.
Viewers saw Hannity sporting reading glasses with a vape pen in his mouth.
The producers began to signal to Hannity that he was on the air and Hannity quickly tried to straighten himself out and hide his vape.
“After a few seconds, Hannity realized he was back on air and quickly jerked the Juul out of his mouth, put in his earpiece, looked back at the camera with his glasses lopsided, and said, ‘Uh oh!’” The Daily Caller reported.
The show only had a few seconds left on the air before Hannity was set to hand it off to Laura Ingraham for her 10 p.m. program.
When Ingraham appeared on screen for the customary between show banter, Ingraham was holding a glass of water and teased Hannity for being caught smoking a vape on camera.
“Oh wait, am I on camera right now?” Ingraham mockingly asked.
Hannity took the ribbing in stride with no hint of being self-conscious about the fact that his viewers caught him smoking a vape, a habit no one knew he had.
“I’m sure we’ll make the headlines somewhere tomorrow,” Hannity added.
Ingraham jabbed Hannity pointing out that the image of Hannity smoking a vaping pen while his reading glasses sat crooked on his face would live forever in a blooper reel for Fox News Channel.
“It happens to the best of us Hannity. I mean, those little moments are cute. Those are in the forever reel of the real Hannity,” Ingraham added.
“That is the real Hannity!” Hannity responded.
Hannity has been known to brag about his training regimen and diet.
So it was a surprise to many to see him vape, which some people use as a substitute for smoking tobacco.
But when you are on TV as long as Sean Hannity has been, a mistake is bound to happen.
However, when Hannity said this is the real me, he was being more honest than he realized.
Some big-time TV stars can’t laugh at themselves and flip out at any episode that could damage their “brand.”
Hannity took the opposite approach.
Instead of freaking out and blaming his staff in an on-air meltdown, Hannity went along with the joke and took the teasing from his fellow Fox News primetime host in stride.
