Barack Obama is not known for his humility.
Obama’s arrogance gets him into trouble.
And Barack Obama made a mind-blowing admission about this being his worst mistake.
As American Patriot Daily reports:
Barack Obama sees the polls and the country turning against Democrats.
Obama’s answer to this political crisis for the left is to launch a new campaign to impose government regulations forcing even stricter censorship rules on social media companies.
The 2020 election proved that if the left can censor negative stories about their candidates – Facebook and Twitter suppressed the New York Post’s truthful reporting about Hunter Biden’s laptop – corporate media and Big Tech can control the flow of information to the voters and rig the election.
In a speech at Stanford University announcing his new push to censor the internet, Barack Obama revealed his biggest mistake was not prodding social media companies during the 2016 election to suppress negative stories about Hillary Clinton.
Obama made it clear the current levels of censorship were not harsh enough to prevent Americans from accessing news sources and information that undercuts the Democrat Party’s political agenda.
“But while content moderation can limit the distribution of clearly dangerous content, it doesn’t go far enough,” Obama declared.
Obama still falsely claims the Russians spending $300,000 on Facebook memes sunk the campaign of Hillary Clinton, who was the most well-known and unpopular candidate in presidential election history.
“Now I’ve been writing my memoirs lately, including reflections on events leading up to that election. The regrets I have, the things I might have missed. No one in my administration was surprised that Russia was attempting to meddle in our election. They had been doing that for years. Or that it was using social media in these efforts,” Obama began.
Obama whined that Donald Trump only won in 2016 because Big Tech didn’t censor speech.
“What does still nag at me though was my failure to fully appreciate at the time just how susceptible we had become to lies and conspiracy theories, despite having spent years being a target of disinformation myself,” Obama added.
Obama then claimed conservatives like former Donald Trump chief strategist Steve Bannon were the equivalent of Putin in how they spread “misinformation.”
“People like Putin and Steve Bannon, for that matter, understand it’s not necessary for people to believe this information in order to weaken democratic institutions. You just have to flood a country’s public square with enough raw sewage. You just have to raise enough questions, spread enough dirt, plant enough conspiracy theorizing that citizens no longer know what to believe,” Obama exclaimed.
In reality, Obama was describing himself.
The number one spreader of misinformation during Obama’s eight years in office was Obama himself.
And Obama’s lies fundamentally altered America.
Obama reordered one-sixth of the U.S. economy with his socialist Obamacare scheme by selling the plan to the public with lies.
Obama falsely claimed “if you like your doctor you can keep your doctor” when the architect of the law knew full well Obama was lying.
Even the left-wing website PolitiFact rated Obama’s “if you like your doctor you can keep your doctor” falsehood the “lie of the year” in 2013.
Had millions of Americans known they were going to lose their doctor and their health plan Obamacare may never have passed.
Similarly, Obama reoriented America’s foreign policy in the Middle East by peddling lies to the American people about how the disastrous Iranian nuclear deal would embolden moderate forces in Iran.
In reality, the deal did no such thing and put Iran on the path to acquiring a nuclear weapon.
Obama’s Deputy National Security Advisor Ben Rhodes even bragged that he was able to sell these lies to the press because reporters were morons that never bothered to check what they are told.
When liberals like Obama talk about stopping the spread of “misinformation” online what they really mean is Big Tech should censor conservative speech the same way Communist China suppresses political dissent.
