Donald Trump is not happy with Fox News.
Trump is making it known.
And Donald Trump hit Fox News with a curve ball that no one ever expected.
As Conservative Revival reports:
Donald Trump called out Fox News for biased coverage in a post on Truth Social.
Trump was not happy with pro-amnesty RINO analyst Karl Rove’s commentary.
Rove’s repeatedly attacked Trump over the FBI raid at Mar-a-Lago as part of a GOP establishment strategy to seize on the break-in to stop Trump from running in 2024.
Trump added that CNN could take on Fox News by giving more airtime to conservative views and that Trump would help in that effort.
“Wow! Fox News is really pushing the Democrats and the Democrat agenda. Gets worse every single day. So many Dems interviewed with only softball questions, then Republican counterparts get creamed. RINO Karl Rove is unwatchable, very negative, and on all the time – Has a big record of losing! Not an easy place to be as a Republican, especially with all of the “pervert” purchased ads. If “low ratings” CNN ever went Conservative, they would be an absolute gold mine, and I would help them to do so!” Trump posted on Truth.
This is not the first time Trump and Fox News have been at odds.
During 2020 Trump renounced Fox for calling the election for Joe Biden.
Trump began promoting alternatives to Fox such as One America News and Newsmax.
Fox has taken steps of their own.
Trump has not appeared on any Fox News Channel program since the middle of April.
And CNN reported that Fox Corps. CEO Lachlan Murdoch believes Trump running for president a third time would be bad for the country, but that Fox would support Trump if Trump won the GOP nomination.
Fox News largely refrains from criticizing Donald Trump. But, in private, Lachlan Murdoch has denounced some of the former President’s behavior in harsh terms.
In private this year, the Fox Corp. chief executive has freely criticized Trump, saying that he disagrees with much of the way the former President behaves, sources tell me. Murdoch has gone so far as to tell people that he believes if Trump were to run again, it would be bad for the country, I’m told.
But, the sources added, Murdoch has also noted that the Fox News audience continues to support Trump. Which is to say that Murdoch knows that supporting Trump is good for business — and, more importantly, he knows that pillorying him is bad for business because it would alienate the channel’s core audience.
During the Trump years leftwing media critics smeared Fox News as “state TV.”
But the reality was more complicated as Fox News founder Rupert Murdoch was always an open borders globalist.
When Trump first gained traction in the 2016 GOP primary Fox News opposed Trump and supported Jeb Bush.
It was only after Trump won the nomination did Fox come around.
Trump clearly sees a similar dynamic playing out now with Fox giving more airtime to anti-Trump RINO Karl Rove in the hopes Rove’s attacks on Trump will convince GOP voters to ditch Trump.
