Former Vice President Mike Pence is preparing to run for president
But Pence’s campaign is over before it began.
Donald Trump made a huge 2024 announcement that Mike Pence is going to hate.
As American Patriot Daily reports:
Donald Trump looks determined to run for re-election in 2024.
Trump is waiting until after the midterm election to make his decision on a second term.
But all signs point towards “go” for Trump in 2024.
However, that does not mean Trump will get a free shot at the GOP nomination.
Establishment Republicans like RINO Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, Mitt Romney, and others plot behind the scenes on which candidates to push to enter the primary field in order to deny Trump the nomination.
Some of the establishment-aligned Republicans looking to challenge Trump in two years are former Vice President Mike Pence, former CIA Director and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, and RINO former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley.
All three worked in the Trump administration.
After January 6 Haley echoed the corporate media hoax that Donald Trump instigated an insurrection, and that Trump had no place in determining the GOP’s future.
But when Haley saw that Republican voters did not buy the media smears about January 6 she tried to backtrack and get back on Trump’s good side.
Mike Pence especially appears eager to run against Trump.
During an event hosted by the Young Americans for Freedom a questioner asked Pence if Pence would support Trump for president in 2024.
“Well, there might be somebody else I’d prefer more,” Pence responded. “What I can tell you is I have every confidence that the Republican Party is going to sort out leadership. All my focus has been on the midterm elections and it will stay that way for the next 20 days.”
The obvious implication of that comment was Pence thinks he is the man to serve as the Republican Party’s nominee for president in 2024.
Fox News radio host Brian Kilmeade interviewed Trump and Kilmeade pressed Trump on the idea that some of his former Cabinet secretaries and his former vice president would run against him in the 2024 GOP presidential primary.
“Mr. President, when will you decide if you’re going to run in 2024? And how would you handle running against people in your cabinet like [Mike] Pompeo, Nikki Haley, Mike Pence?” Kilmeade asked.
Trump pointed out that some – like Haley – initially said they would not run if Trump sought re-election.
But Trump cautioned Kilmeade that GOP voters would view Pence, Pompeo, and Haley as disloyal if they ran against Trump in the primary.
“Well, many of them have said they would never run if I run. So, we’ll see whether or not that turns out to be true. I think it’d be very disloyal if they did [run], but that’s okay too. And the polls have me leading by 40, 50 points,” Trump told Kilmeade.
Polls show that none of these establishment-aligned Republicans stand a chance in the 2024 primary so Trump’s comment that GOP voters would view them as turncoats is likely accurate.
