Joe Biden’s poll numbers reached the lowest level of any president at this point in history.
Now Biden made everything worse.
And Joe Biden gave this answer that will make his life a living hell.
As Conservative Revival reports:
A reporter confronted Joe Biden about the results of a brand new New York Times/Siena poll showing 64 percent of Democrats did not want Joe Biden to run for a second term.
“Mr. President, what’s your message to Democrats who don’t want you to run again?” the reporter asked.
Biden responded by misrepresenting the poll and telling the reporter “read the polls, Jack” and misrepresenting the poll’s finding claiming 92 percent of Democrats supported him.
“Read the polls, Jack, you guys are all the same,” Biden stated as he ambled toward the reporter. “That poll showed that 92% of Democrats, if I ran, would vote for me.”
The day before Joe Biden’s incompetent press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre also tried to gaslight the press into believing the New York Times/Siena poll showed overwhelming support for Joe Biden.
“I would also say, from that very same poll, there were 92% of Democrats who support this president as well,” Jean-Pierre declared. “There’s going to be many polls, they’re going to go up, they’re going to go down. This is not the thing that we are solely focused on. We are focused on things like today, signing this bipartisan gun reform legislation which will save lives. We have more work to do, absolutely.”
But this is not exactly true.
92 percent of Democrats said they would vote for Joe Biden if Biden ran against Donald Trump in 2024.
But the poll showed just 70 percent of Democrats – a dangerously low number for an incumbent president – approved of Biden’s job performance.
And while the poll showed 64 percent of Democrats wanted Biden to step down in 2024, those weren’t even the worst numbers from the poll.
More than 9 in 10 Democrats under the age of 30 and a plurality of black voters do not want Biden to seek re-election.
The New York Times reports:
In the survey, 94 percent of Democrats under the age of 30 said they would prefer a different presidential nominee…
…Mr. Biden’s base, in 2020 and now, remains Black voters. They delivered the president a 62 percent job-approval rating — higher marks than any other race or ethnicity, age group or education level. But even among that constituency, there are serious signs of weakening. On the question of renominating Mr. Biden in 2024, slightly more Black Democratic voters said they wanted a different candidate than said they preferred Mr. Biden.
No Democrat can sustain their political viability if young and black voters reject them.
Biden may try and talk tough about running for re-election now – if Biden said he was not running again his presidency would end on the spot – but the polling and the political reality point in the direction of Biden being the walking dead.
