Joe Biden created a catastrophe at the southern border.
Even his own party is furious.
And one top Democrat just flipped on Joe Biden over the border crisis.
As Black Eye Politics reports:
Republican Governors Ron DeSantis of Florida and Greg Abbott of Texas began calling the Democrat mayors and governors who declared their cities and states sanctuaries for illegal aliens.
DeSantis and Abbott flew or bused illegal aliens Joe Biden deposited in their states to sanctuary cities and states run by Democrats.
When Democrats had to live with the consequences of open borders and mass illegal immigration they suddenly dropped the virtue signaling about diversity being America’s strength and how this is a nation of immigrants.
New York City Mayor Eric Adams exposed this charade after pitching a fit over Governor Abbott busing a couple thousand illegal aliens into Manhattan.
Even though Joe Biden forced communities in Texas to take in as many as 100,000 illegal aliens Adams complained New York was full after just 2,000 illegal aliens arrived in Gotham.
Adams made his displeasure known and criticized Joe Biden’s bungling at the southern border.
“It is not about the asylum-seekers and migrants, all of us came from somewhere to pursue the American Dream,” he said last week. “It is the irresponsibility of the Republican Party in Washington for refusing to do real immigration reform, and it’s the irresponsibility of the White House for not addressing this problem,” Adams declared.
The Biden campaign promptly fired Adams as a campaign surrogate.
Adams and his spokesman tried to soft-pedal the criticism and make it clear Adams was still on the team.
“As the mayor has previously stated, he stands ready to help the president with reelection however he can,” Adams spokesman Fabien Levy declared.
“Being the president comes with a menu of items, it doesn’t mean there’s not going to be an item on that menu that I dislike,” Adams said this past March. “I dislike what we’re doing around the asylum seekers, but I always say that I believe the president is just a blue-collar president. I’m a blue-collar mayor. I like his policies. I think he’s good for the country — and it doesn’t mean I’m going to agree with him 100 percent on everything.”
But it was far too late.
Biden’s handlers know the border is Joe Biden’s chief political vulnerability.
And if Eric Adams serves as a campaign surrogate for Joe Biden in 2024 it means reporters will hound Adams with questions about the border.
Democrats have no good answers on this crisis and the Biden campaign’s strategy is to pretend it doesn’t exist and hope no one notices.
