CNN will not give up their war on Donald Trump and his voters.
Other media figures were forced to pick sides.
But no one could believe where Megyn Kelly came down in this feud between Trump and CNN.
As Black Eye Politics reports:
CNN and other corporate media outlets hyped up the events of January 6 as Donald Trump inciting an armed, white supremacist insurrection to overthrow American democracy.
None of that is true.
It was an ugly riot with some violence, but the number of people that went into the Capitol was a small percentage of the crowd that attended, no one was charged with possessing firearms, and it was over within a matter of hours.
Donald Trump also told the crowd to peacefully and patriotically make their voices heard at the Capitol.
In an interview with comedienne Chrissie Mayr, Megyn Kelly agreed that the corporate media overhyped the riot into an attack on democracy and the biggest threat to the republic since the Civil War.
Mayr said she was in Washington, D.C. that day and the media completely misrepresented what took place.
“I was there and anybody who was there on the 6th is, like, blown away by how, like, inaccurate the media coverage is,” Mayr began. “At this point, it’s like I don’t want to listen to anybody’s thoughts on the 6th unless they were like there, like physically there, because it was so, like, not a big deal.”
Mayr added that the only person that directly died as a result of the riot was Ashli Babbitt, an unarmed Trump supporter shot dead by a still unknown Capitol Hill police officer as Babbitt tried to crawl through a glass door into the Speaker’s Lobby.
“I mean, it was horrible, like, like, Ashli Babbitt was murdered — should not have happened, but for a group who could have come fully armed to the Capitol, they didn’t,” Mayr continued. “It was extremely peaceful and chill and most of us didn’t even know what was happening until hours later.”
Kelly agreed that they played up the riot with false claims it was an insurrection to bring down the government of the United States.
“There is no question the media represented it as so much worse than it actually was,” Kelly stated.
But Kelly did push back on some of Mayr’s claims about January 6 pointing out the video of violence that did exist.
“We’ve all seen the video of people like screaming in the face of cops, being totally disparaging, and defecating on the floor of the U.S. Capitol,” Kelly added.
But Kelly ridiculed lawmakers like Democrat Andy Kim who donated the suit he wore that day to the Smithsonian as well as Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez who revealed she is still in therapy after the events of that day.
“Lawmakers were understandably afraid,” Kelly stated, “Not like ‘I need therapy for the rest of my life,’ afraid, but I can understand it, and I didn’t like seeing it at all.”
The corporate media is hyping up January 6 to try and create a favorable political environment for Democrats.
Democrats think smearing the GOP as the party of sedition and insurrection will throw Republicans on the defensive.
Megyn Kelly is calling that a lie.
