Cracks continue to appear in the foundation of the Democrat Party.
It’s bad news for Joe Biden.
And Joe Biden was stunned by a major defection.
As Black Eye Politics reports:
Denver, Colorado Mayor Michael Hancock (D) has declared a state of emergency due to the number of illegal immigrants flooding into Denver.
Just 0.01 percent of illegal immigrants, coming over the border on President Joe Biden’s watch, have made their way to Colorado City.
Hancock said in a statement, it has “put an immense strain on city resources to the level where they’re on the verge of reaching a breaking point at this time.”
“It is at a crisis point right now and cities all over this country are being forced to deal with something we’re not equipped to deal with,” Hancock said.
About 250 illegal immigrants arrived in Denver last week and where 400 illegal immigrants are already staying in city shelters.
The City of El Paso, Texas has also declared a state of emergency due to illegal immigration.
Mayor Oscar Leeser announced the state of emergency at a press conference Saturday, in which he admitted that he no longer could keep residents safe.
“I said from the beginning that I would call it when I felt that either our asylum seekers or community were not safe,” Leeser said, according to KFOX14.
“That’s not the way we want to treat people and by calling a state of an emergency it gives us the ability today to be able to do what we couldn’t do until we called it,” Leeser added.
The city has been expecting a surge when Title 42, a Trump-era immigration policy that reduced the number of asylum seekers that America takes in, was due to expire on Dec. 21 before Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts on Monday night temporarily paused lifting Title 42.
“We know the influx on Wednesday [December 21] will be incredible, it will be huge. On Wednesday our numbers will go from 2,500 to 4,000, 5,000, maybe 6,000,” the mayor said.
After denying it most of the year the liberals and the mainstream media have finally admitted there is a problem.
“Everyone can now agree – the US has a border crisis,” CNN wrote last Friday.
Just a few months ago Vice President Kamala Harris assured the American public that the border was secure.
She told “Meet the Press” that the border is “secure.” Asked what that means, she answered, “We have a secure border in that that is a priority for any nation, including ours and our administration.”
Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said in July the southern border is “secure.”
“Look, the border is secure,” he said at the Aspen Security Forum in Colorado on July 19. “We are working to make the border more secure. That has been a historic challenge.”
Since Biden took office there have been a record-breaking at least 5.5 million southern border encounters.
