Tucker Carlson is the top rated host on Fox News Channel.
Carlson’s popularity led some to speculate Carlson would be a strong candidate in 2024.
And now Tucker Carlson gave an answer about running for president that no one was expecting.
As American Patriot Daily reports:
Tucker Carlson traveled to Iowa to deliver a speech at the Family Leader Summit.
Winning the support of this Evangelical Christian group is vital to winning the Iowa caucuses and potentially the White House.
Anytime someone in politics travels to Iowa, New Hampshire, and South Carolina the political world’s antennae goes up as it is a clear sign that individual is seriously considering a presidential run.
The Family Leader President Bob Vander Plaats addressed the elephant in the room asking Carlson if when he came back for the 2023 summit if Carlson would be a declared presidential candidate.
“When you come back to next year’s summit, will you be the Fox News TV host interviewing potential presidential hopefuls, or will you be a presidential hopeful?” Vander Plaats asked Carlson.
In the wake of the 2020 election Republican donors floated Carlson’s name as a potential 2024 candidate reasoning that Carlson’s massive audience – Carlson drew a record five million viewers in the fall of 2020 and Carlson’s audience was bigger than some games of that year’s NBA finals – and ability to articulately communicate the America First message elevated Carlson to serious White House contender.
“God knows what the future holds,” Carlson began his answer.
Carlson then told Vander Plaats that the people who infuriate him the most are those that shirk their duty to the vulnerable.
“The people I’m maddest at in the world are the people who don’t do their duty and leave the vulnerable exposed,” Carlson added.
“It’s the dad who leaves his kids — that’s a guy, I’d just like to punch him in the face. I mean it because that’s your duty. Those are your children, and you left. You don’t care about them,” Carlson continued.
Carlson described establishment Republicans like Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, Mitt Romney, anti-gun RINO Texas Senator John Cornyn and House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy as the type of people that infuriated him by abandoning their commitment to defend Republican voters.
“That’s the most basic violation there is. It’s not what the enemy does to you; it’s what people charged with ensuring your welfare do to you,” Carlson declared.
McConnell, Cornyn, Romney and McCarthy sold out the GOP all over the place in recent weeks.
McConnell and Romney voted for Cornyn’s gun grab allowing Democrats to ban and confiscate firearms from Trump supporters.
And McCarthy lost control of his conference and allowed 47 members to impose homosexual marriage on all 50 states to thwart the Supreme Court from taking up the wrongly decided Obergefell case.
“The average Republican voter is not represented in a meaningful way by his or her leaders in Washington, and I cannot stress that enough,” Carlson added.
But Carlson said he would not run for president even though the country faced an emergency as Joe Biden’s senility allowed a woke mob to overrun the country.
“I have every intention of staying in the job that I’m blessed to have, but I’m going to keep hammering that, not because I want to weaken the Republican Party, no, because the Republican Party is our only option. That’s it,” Carlson stated.
“We need immediate attention and help. This is an SOS moment,” Carlson warned.
