The midterm elections are in the books.
Republicans did not get their desired outcome.
And Tucker Carlson warned Republicans to make one big change or face certain doom.
As American Patriot Daily reports:
Tucker Carlson blasted House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, RINO Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, and Republican National Committee Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel as the faces of failure for the Republican Party coming out of the midterm elections.
Carlson added that all three should pay the price for their incompetent leadership with their jobs.
“The people whose job was to win and did not win should go do something else now, we’re speaking specifically of the Republican leadership of the House and the Senate and of the RNC,” Carlson began. “It’s nothing personal, no doubt some of them are nice people, but they took hundreds of millions of dollars to paint the map red and they didn’t. Doesn’t mean they’re evil, doesn’t mean they should be jailed. It does mean they shouldn’t be promoted. No one should ever be rewarded for failure. If there’s a truly conservative principle in life, it’s the principle of meritocracy. You reward excellence, you do not reward mediocrity.”
In the days before the election Republicans boasted in the corporate media about how, thanks to sky-high inflation and crime rates and Joe Biden’s awful approval numbers, a red wave would sweep Democrats out of power.
Tucker Carlson told viewers this plan imploded on Election Day.
One of the reasons the red wave failed to generate was the fact that Mitch McConnell never proposed a conservative agenda for Republicans to run on.
Instead, McConnell and House Minority Kevin McCarthy badly miscalculated that they could win the election campaigning solely on voter discontent with Democrats.
Carlson said this proved to be a foolish strategy as McConnell and McCarthy never gave voters a reason to vote for Republicans.
“The plan was really simple. It seemed easy a week ago: An unpopular president, a faltering economy, an open border, the looming risk of nuclear war, how about that?” Carlson stated. “Put all those together, how could there not be a massive Republican win nationally? Wins everywhere. Well, there weren’t. Some exceptions, but overall there weren’t. Joe Biden was not punished. In fact, he’s out there bragging about himself today. Pretty frustrating. You want Republicans to win, not because they’re so great, but because Democrats are so very bad, and that is not an overstatement.”
During a post-election press conference Joe Biden crowed about how the Democrats beat expectations to pick up a Senate seat and stay within striking distance of keeping their majority in the House of Representatives.
“Democrats had a strong night, and we lost fewer seats in the House of Representatives than any Democratic president’s first midterm election in the last 40 years, and we had the best midterm for governors since 1986,” Biden boasted.
Carlson lamented the fact that all the Republicans’ dreams of controlling both houses of Congress went down in flames.
“Republicans swore they were going to sweep, a red tsunami. That’s what they told us, and we, to be honest, cautiously believed them,” Carlson added. “But they did not sweep, not even close to sweeping. The Republican Party, in the end, may take control of the House and Senate, but only by a tiny margin at best. That’s great but it was not the plan.”
There is momentum building with the House and Senate Republican caucuses to dump McConnell and McCarthy.
Many conservatives agree with Tucker Carlson that this would be an appropriate course of action.
