CNN’s news coverage continues to be a dumpster fire.
The cable news network drifts further left with each passing day, but CNN anchors swear they’re “objective.”
Now CNN just won an award for a disgusting reason.
The Norman Lear Center at the University of Southern California just presented CNN the Walter Cronkite award for the network’s town hall “discussion” in the wake of the Parkland mass shooting.
The so-called discussion played out more like “two minutes hate” from George Orwell’s classic dystopian novel 1984, which is scarily becoming a blueprint for Democrats.
During the town hall, a rabid audience constantly shouted down gun rights advocate Dana Loesch in appalling fashion.
The spectacle more resembled WWE Raw than a thoughtful discussion on guns.

Loesch was treated with vile disrespect.
But according the leftist media faculty at USC, crowd statements like “burn the witch” fostered an environment that advanced the discussion on guns.
Parkland students who survived the shooting confronted Loesch with disgusting slander that egged on the crowd.
They attacked Loesch by saying they cared more about her children than she does, and rhetorically asking how she sleeps at night.
Loesch, with the patient of a saint, faced down the frothing mob.
CNN should’ve been ashamed by the display, but they were proud of it.
And USC fêted them with a prestigious award.
Meanwhile, the left completely ignores the truth about guns and continues to parrot false talking points.
CNN’s Brooke Baldwin recently said that America was approaching 40,000 gun deaths, and something must be done.
The truth is two-thirds of gun deaths in the United States are suicides.
Out of the remaining one-third, the overwhelming majority of gun deaths are due to gang violence.
And despite the left’s scare tactics, a minuscule amount of gun deaths are due to accidents.
There are approximately 400 million guns in the United States.
Legal gun owners are not the ones committing crimes, but the left’s gun control pushes simply punish law-abiding citizens.
As America’s gun ownership has increased, the violent crime rate has decreased.
According to studies, there are anywhere between two and three million instances of defensive gun use each year.
The states and cities with the heaviest gun control laws have the most gun crime.
These laws simply embolden the criminals.
If guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns.
CNN and other mainstream media networks refuse to report on these facts, because they’re inconvenient to the Democrats’ gun-grabbing agenda.
They will continue to talk about “common sense” gun laws, which often are laws that are already on the books, but weren’t properly enforced by the government.
During CNN’s “award-winning” town hall, Dana Loesch took an unbelievable amount of flak, while Parkland Sheriff Scott Israel received no criticism from the crowd despite his department’s numerous failures in the matter.
The left isn’t concerned with the truth.
Their narrative—their Newspeak—is the only thing that matters.
