Dr. Fauci is turning into one of the biggest villains of the coronavirus pandemic.
Even Dr. Fauci knows he is under fire.
And Dr. Fauci threw Fox News a curve ball that no one saw coming.
As American Patriot Daily reports:
Dr. Fauci is a publicity hound that loves hearing the sound of his own voice.
Fauci is on TV almost as much as Donald Trump and even sits for glamour photo shoots so Fauci can celebrate himself.
But there is one place no one sees Dr. Fauci.
And that is on Fox News Channel.
However, Fox News programs regularly tried to book Dr. Fauci.
It’s just that Dr. Fauci is afraid to go on the network and regularly says “no” to booking requests with his last appearance coming on an October 18th broadcast of “Fox News Sunday.”
POLITICO Playbook reports:
Dr. ANTHONY FAUCI, the Biden administration’s go-to communicator on Covid-19, has almost entirely stopped appearing onFox News since July. It’s not for lack of an invitation.
Shows across the cable news channel, including ones with news hosts like BRET BAIER and NEIL CAVUTO, have been trying to book Fauci for months but he’s been turning them down, according to an official familiar with bookings at Fox News.
Dr. Fauci prefers CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS and NBC because Fauci knows his fellow liberals will be the ones asking questions.
Fox News is the only network in the corporate media that won’t gloss over Fauci’s litany of lies, misstatements and boneheaded quackery disguised as science.
If Dr. Fauci sat for a real interview Fauci would have to answer questions about his allegedly untruthful testimony to Congress where Fauci claimed the National Institutes of Health never funded gain-of-function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology.
The Intercept obtained 900 pages of documents including smoking guns that showed Fauci’s agency funneling a $599,000 grant through EcoHealth Alliance to the Wuhan Institute of Virology to study bat coronavirus research.
These documents also showed that there was a second grant for “Understanding Risk of Zoonotic Virus Emergence in Emerging Infectious Disease Hotspots of Southeast Asia.”
In that grant proposal Fauci’s National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases described how before Wuhan Institute of Virology engaged in“further altering the mutant viruses,” the lab needed to provide Fauci’s agency with a “detailed description of the proposed alterations and supporting evidence for the anticipated phenotypic characteristics of each virus.”
That is the dictionary definition of gain-of-function research.
And critics allege it’s clear Fauci misled Congress.
No one accused Fauci of creating the coronavirus.
But the grant Fauci’s agency directed to the Wuhan Institute of Virology funded the research that likely made the coronavirus so transmissible.
If Dr. Fauci appeared on Tucker Carlson, Laura Ingraham or Sean Hannity’s show, Fauci would face an interrogation about why he misled Congress and why he thought gain-of-function research was a good idea.
And that’s why critics believe Fauci hid from Fox News’ shows for so many weeks.
