The Democrat Party is in panic mode over Bernie Sanders.
Moderates can’t stand him, while the growing socialist wing is completely in the tank for him.
And one Democrat tried to excuse the horrific thing Bernie Sanders said.
The Democrats are in the midst of a civil war.
The socialists are attempting to take out the party’s “moderates” – or perhaps more aptly called the incremental socialists.
This divide among the left isn’t new.
In the 1960s, the youthful New Left wanted to flaunt their radical views, while the old school communists and fellow travelers wanted to pretend to be Democrats and gradually pull the country to the left.
Sanders represents this spirit of the 1960s new left and openly describes himself as a Democratic Socialist (which is just a socialist) while others in the party masquerade as moderates.
Proving that Sanders wears communism on his sleeve, he recently praised brutal communist dictator Fidel Castro.
Sanders touted Castro’s literacy program, which was really nothing more than communist propaganda, not to mention, Cuba already had one of the highest literacy rates in Latin America. abuses.
But Univision’s Jorge Ramos swooped in to save Sanders from his idiotic statements.
Ramos is a lar-left open borders advocate who brought on Sanders spokeswoman Ana María Archila to defend Sanders’s stance on Castro.
Ramos lobbed softballs over the plate for Archila to hit.
He asked, “How has [Sanders’s praise of Castro] affected your candidate? Can positive things be said about the Cuban dictatorship?”
Archila regurgitated Sanders’s talking points about Castro’s literacy program and mentioned how Obama also said nice things about the regime following the Cuban revolution.
Not surprisingly, Ramos offered zero pushback to Archila’s statement. He simply brought her on so she could spread Sanders propaganda without being challenged.
This isn’t the first time Ramos did something like this.
He brought on freshman congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for a kid-gloves interview where he didn’t ask one single tough question.
This was on the heels of Ocasio-Cortez’s disastrous interview with Margaret Hoover.
Ramos, like the overwhelming majority of journalists, is in the tank for the Democrats.
He recently hosted a panel of Latino Trump supporters and saved all the hardball questions for them.
Ramos and other Democrats have to be panicked about Trump’s support within the Latino community which is now above 30% according to some polling data.
If Trump performs better against Latinos than he did in 2016, the electoral math gets really bad for Democrats in 2020.
And with many Cuban expats living in Florida, pundits believe Sanders has already lost the state with his praise of Castro.
The interview with Archila reeked of desperation – the official scent of the Democrat Party.
