For liberals, it’s open season on Republicans and conservatives.
Democrats like Maxine Waters greenlight the use of mob tactics against their political opponents.
And now what just happened to Jeff Sessions took every American by surprise.
Former Attorney General Jeff Sessions was invited by the College Republicans to give a speech at Amherst, a very left liberals arts college.
As expected, the far left students at the school smeared him in the campus newspaper, slandered the College Republicans, and pushed for coordinated protests of his speech.
Leftists used their common tactic of an organized walkout where students leave the speech en masse a few minutes after it starts, essentially robbing would-be attendees from listening to the speaker.
But the students did something more disturbing.
They planted a stink bomb in the audience.
This shows that left-wing disruption tactics are escalating.
In the past, liberal students might’ve attended an event and asked the speaker pointed questions.
However, now they they bang pots and pans and drown out speakers with mindless chants.
They use super-soaker water guns to spray speakers with malodorous liquids.
They walk out and deprive others of engaging with an invested guest.
They pull fire alarms to force building evacuations.
And now they let off stink bombs.
Sessions has had a rollercoaster of a ride the last few years.
As a senator, Sessions was the first person to endorse Donald Trump, and remained loyal throughout the campaign.
Trump appointed him Attorney General, and Democrats in the Senate did their best to smear Sessions as a racist.
This is another classic go-to move by the left, but it rang hollow, as people on the left graced Sessions with an NAACP award for his role in desegregating the schools and prosecuting the KKK in his home state of Alabama.
However, as Attorney General, amid immense pressure from the left, Sessions recused himself in the face of the bogus Russian collusion narrative, which was sparked by opposition research from Hillary Clinton.
Sessions’ recusal triggered the absurd and wasteful special counsel investigation led by Robert Mueller.
Sessions ultimately resigned his position.
Liberal students at Amherst had the opportunity to question one of the most important political figures of the last few years.
Instead, they lit a stink bomb in the crowd.
It’s not difficult to envision where this goes.
Some conservative speakers have literally been chased off campus under the threat of violence.
It’s not a leap from stink bombs to actual bombs.
The left is always trying to relive the 1960s and early 1970s, and that’s precisely what happened in that era.
The Weather Underground (and other militant groups), which splintered from the Students for a Democratic Society (SDS), engaged in a bombing campaign across the United States.
These radicals must be stopped, but there aren’t many adults in the room.
The administrators of the 1960s—who often acted as a bulwark against the more strident protests—have been replaced by 1960s radicals.
They encourage these student outbursts.
If they don’t rein them in soon, something truly dangerous could happen.
