Barack Obama is emerging back in the campaign trail.
But Obama isn’t doing Democrats any favors.
Barack Obama turned Joe Biden’s life into a living hell with these three words.
As Great American Daily reports:
Former President Barack Obama told foreign leaders that Republican voters were angry, racist, and sexist during a private conversation according to a newly revealed transcript.
At the Copenhagen Democracy Summit in June, Obama warned that his political opposition isn’t “persuadable.”
“Sometimes, it just turns out they’re mean, they’re racist, they’re sexist, they’re angry. And your job is then to just beat them because they’re not persuadable,” Obama said, adding, “Sometimes, we get filled up in our own self-righteousness. We’re so convinced that we’re right that we forget what we are right about.”
Obama is taking on a limited role during the midterms, making few appearances or endorsements and is instead working on a summit called the Democracy Forum two weeks after Election Day.
“We’ll explore a range of issues – from strengthening institutions and fighting disinformation, to promoting inclusive capitalism and expanded pluralism – that will shape democracies for generations to come,” Obama writes in an announcement of the event going out to donors and others involved with the foundation. “We’ll showcase democracy in action around the world, and approaches that are working. And we’ll discuss and debate ideas for how we can adapt our democracies and our institutions for a new age.”
Part of the reason Obama may be stepping back is because his presence isn’t helping drive voter turnout the way it did in the past. Even CNN admitted that Obama’s “appeal is shifting.”
“Among the disinterested voter blocs are a rising generation too young to remember his 2008 win, those who argue that his failure to deliver on soaring promises helped set up the crisis of faith and political despair that has followed and those who have gotten tired of seeing how little he’s engaged.” CNN reported.
Obama won his first election by appealing to unity but he was never able to unite America because he held Republicans in contempt.
“You go into some of these small towns in Pennsylvania, and like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing’s replaced them… And it’s not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.” Obama said in 2008.
Obama is tarnishing his own reputation, even with Democratic voters, by being bitter and vindictive towards Republicans and proving that his message of hope was always just a hollow façade created by his own egotism.
