Democrats had no idea how much trouble they were in.
Now they just got a taste.
Democrats will be in tears when they see this video that Joe Biden wishes never went public.
As Black Eye Politics reports:
The Biden administration is desperate to spin their failure to properly execute a withdrawal from Afghanistan into a success.
To that end, Principal Deputy National Security Advisor Jon Finer posted a video to social media boasting about the administration’s supposed “successes.”
But Finer used one phrase – “mission accomplished” – that will make Biden’s handlers and Democrats cringe.
Finer claimed the administration’s main mission was to secure the Kabul Airport.
“That mission was accomplished, in large part, because we planned for it. President Biden ordered the prepositioning of U.S. forces in the region, and deployed those forces in recent days to ensure that security and stability could be brought to the airport. [Cymbals crash] There are now several thousand Americans troops providing at the airport, and we will have as many as six thousand troops in place in the days to come,” Finer stated.
Finer added that security of the airport rested at the heart of the administration’s evacuation plan.
“Third, a safe and secure airport is important, because our most important mission right now is providing safe and secure flights out of Afghanistan for Americans and Afghans in need. Already, the United States has brought 2,000 special immigrant visa applicants directly to the United States; we have temporary, ah, housing and facilities for up to 22,000 more Afghans in the United States; and we are working to get as many of these vulnerable Afghans and American citizens out of Afghanistan as quickly as possible in the days ahead,” Finer added.
No president ever wants to hear the phrase “Mission Accomplished.”
George W. Bush landing in a flight suit on the deck of the USS Abraham Lincoln in May 2003 to declare “Mission Accomplished” on major combat operations became the symbol of presidents declaring victory prematurely.
And indeed, the situation at the Kabul Airport is far from mission accomplished.
Panicked mobs attempted to storm the airport and were met with gunfire from Taliban fighters.
Parents passed toddlers to U.S. soldiers guarding the airport wall in hopes their babies would see freedom while knowing full well they would never lay eyes on their children again.

In addition, the Pentagon reported that of 2,000 evacuees on one set of flights, just 300 were American citizens, leaving more than 15,000 citizens stranded behind enemy lines in a rapidly deteriorating situation.
The words “mission accomplished” haunted the Bush administration.
And it looks like they could doom the Biden administration.
