Adam Schiff is in big trouble.
This secret was never supposed to get out.
And Elon Musk just turned in Adam Schiff for this legal violation.
As Black Eye Politics reports:
Democrat Adam Schiff has taken yet another step to cement his status as one of the worst members of Congress.
After spending years lying to the American people about the nature of Donald Trump’s win in 2016, Schiff has now been named at the center of a growing scandal related to government attempts to pressure Twitter into censoring certain stories and reporters.
Following the release of hundreds of documents by Elon Musk and independent reporters, the “Twitter Files” have revealed a widespread government operation to use the social media platform to circumvent restrictions on the government’s ability to limit speech under the First Amendment.
But Adam Schiff went a step further.
He didn’t just try to slyly bypass the most important constitutional limitation on the federal government, he outright ignored it.
Fox News reports, “A reporter indicated that he may sue Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., after internal documents at Twitter revealed the Democrat tried to get him banned from the platform.
“Elon Musk and journalist Matt Taibbi’s ‘Twitter Files’ entry last week revealed that Schiff lobbied Twitter to suspend journalist Paul Sperry from the social media site in November 2020.”
Sperry is a top-level reporter for RealClearPolitics and the New York Post, and his investigations into Schiff’s “sources” for the first Trump impeachment trial ended up being enough to earn him a spot on Schiff’s enemies list.
Upset at the fact that his reporting was undermining the case Schiff was attempting to build against Trump, Sperry found himself the target of Schiff himself, who demanded that Twitter ban his account.
Since the news dropped that Schiff attempted to have Sperry banned from the social media giant, the reporter has spoken out.
“So, Schiff didn’t like the fact I outed his anonymous whistleblower as a partisan Democrat — he’s a holdover from the Obama White House working in the Trump White House. And [Schiff] also didn’t like the fact that I exposed the whistleblower’s prior relationship with the key member of Schiff’s impeachment staff,” Sperry said.
“My stories went viral on Twitter, and he tried to silence me and remove content, which is outrageous censorship by a powerful government official. He was the head of the House Intelligence [Committee] at the time, and he was sworn to protect the First Amendment and free speech and the press,” Sperry added.
This wasn’t the only time that Schiff attempted to use his powerful position on the House Intelligence Committee to silence his critics.
In the latest batch of evidence released by Twitter Files reporter Matt Taibbi, it was revealed that Schiff also sent regular emails to Twitter employees, demanding the removal of photos, tweets, and other individual non-reporter accounts.
Schiff’s actions have disgraced himself and the office he represents. The demand to silence his critics simply for reporting facts that undermined a bogus case his office was attempting to construct against Donald Trump proves that he is more fit to serve in the legislative body of a third-world banana republic than he is to sit in the U.S. Congress.
Schiff isn’t just facing political backlash however; Perry is now looking into potentially suing Schiff for his breach of the First Amendment.
