Joe Biden’s poll numbers are in the tank.
But that isn’t the only reason many Democrats do not believe Joe Biden will seek a second term.
And Joe Biden won’t run for re-election in 2024 because of one brutal truth.
As American Patriot Daily reports:
New York Times reporter Jonathan Martin co-wrote the book “This Will Not Pass” with fellow Times reporter Alexander Burns.
Burns and Martin’s book chronicles the final months of the Trump administration as well as the first year of Joe Biden’s presidency.
Martin appeared on “The View” and discussed what his reporting about Joe Biden’s decision to run for re-election showed.
Martin explained that 2024 was shaping up to be an election unlike any other as America hasn’t had a first-term president in over 100 years whose re-election decision was up in the air.
“Yeah. This is all shaping 2024 because unlike modern and other cases in modern American histories, it’s not clear Biden’s running for re-election in 2024,” Martin stated. “We have not had a first-term president in recent years where it was uncertain if he would be a candidate in the next election, and that is the case with Biden. That makes this all the more interesting.”
Martin added Biden’s claims that he wants to run for re-election fell on deaf ears of his fellow Democrats.
“He wants to run. He’s told people that we talked to for our book that he plans to run in 2024 for re-election unless there’s a health issue intervening,” Martin explained. “A lot of Democrats don’t believe that. They’re convinced he’s not going to run again.”
Martin then predicted that Joe Biden will not run again in 2024 because at 82 years old Biden is just too old.
“Based on the fact he’ll be 82 years old in 2024, and that, [they’re] just skeptical … that he’d want to serve a full second term,” Martin predicted.
That opens the question up to who will succeed Biden.
Martin continued on stating that Harris – even though she is the sitting vice president – has not locked down the institutional and grassroots support to cement her position as the clear frontrunner if Joe Biden steps aside in 2024.
“Which raises the question, well, if not Biden, who? And that’s what shapes the Kamala Harris news here. She’d only been in the Senate for a few years and doesn’t have the relationships in Washington that Biden has, and so she was not able to fill the role that Biden did when he was VP on Capitol Hill, and she didn’t have the foreign policy experience either,” Martin told “The View” co-hosts.
Martin then recounted how his and Burns’ book details all the many ways Democrats disrespect Harris and do not treat her as a serious party leader.
“So, I think her challenge has been sort of finding her niche, and it’s created tensions with the West Wing. We have a scene in the book in which she’s feeling disrespected because she sees staffers in the West Wing when she walks into the room who are not standing for her, and they always stand for President Biden when he walks into the room and she had her chief of staff telephone somebody in the West Wing and say, she’s noticed this. Please tell the staff, when the VP walks into the room, they are to stand,” Martin concluded.
When a president says they are running for re-election that is the end of the story.
But because of Joe Biden’s cognitive decline and lousy poll numbers Democrats dismiss Biden’s pledge to seek a second term.
And even Biden’s supporters in the media think Biden is going to pack it in after one term.
