The midterm election is right around the corner.
Democrat’s prospects grow dimmer by the day.
And Nancy Pelosi led Democrats to their doom with one disastrous decision.
As Great American Daily reports:
Republicans only need to flip five seats to win back control of the House of Representatives.
Despite facing a treacherous political environment thanks to sky-high inflation, an illegal alien invasion, and Joe Biden’s sickly poll numbers, Nancy expressed an air of confidence that Democrats would not only hang on to their majority in the House this November, but that Democrats would add seats.
“Yes, indeed,” Pelosi said in response to a question from Punchbowl News about Democrats growing their majority.
Pelosi claimed she barnstormed the country checking in on various races and reported back that Democrats were ready for the fall campaign.
“I was just in 12 cities in 12 days. We’re ready. And understand this. Because of the leadership of [DCCC Chair Sean Patrick Maloney], we’re ready,” Pelosi stated.
Pelosi then falsely claimed that the Democrats’ support for abortion on demand up until the moment of birth with no restrictions was a majority position.
“So when the Dobbs decision came down, it wasn’t one of those ‘If only we had known.’ No. We believed we were going to win from Jan. 6 on – well, even November of last year on,” Pelosi added.
In fact the Democrats’ support for unregulated abortion on demand is a fringe position supported by just 15 to 20 percent of the public.
Even defunding the police registers more support than the Democrats’ extremist position on abortion up until the moment of birth.
“So we’re ready. Mobilizing on the ground … messaging, raising the money. But the biggest factor of all is not only do we believe, the candidates believe. So for a year, 10 months, eight months, terrific people had put themselves out there believing they could win in those districts,” Pelosi declared.
But Pelosi predicting sweeping victories in the run up to Election Day is nothing new.
Right up until the final hours before the Tea Party wave swept Democrats out of power in 2010 Pelosi told reporters Democrats were on track for victory.
“We’re on pace to maintain the majority in the House of Representatives,” Pelosi said at the time.
When all the votes were counted Republicans gained 63 seats which represented the biggest landslide win in the history of the midterm elections.
It’s natural that Pelosi would try and put on a brave front.
There is no reason to needlessly depress your own side’s vote.
But senior Democrats upon hearing Pelosi’s boast of picking up seats in 2022 must have immediately experienced flashbacks to 2010.
