Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats thought they could count on the FBI.
They thought wrong.
And the FBI delivered some bad news to Nancy Pelosi that she did not want to hear.
As American Patriot Daily reports:
Nancy Pelosi hoped to use a congressional investigation into the January 6 riot at the Capitol in a third impeachment of Donald Trump.
Pelosi intended for her handpicked committee to craft a report that would serve as a third impeachment of Donald Trump, brand the GOP as the party of sedition, and disqualify Trump from running for president in 2024 by tagging Trump as the leader of an armed insurrection intending to overthrow the legitimately elected government.
The FBI crushed those plans thanks to a months-long investigation that found little evidence pro-Trump groups such as the Proud Boys or the Oath Keepers coordinated on an organized plot to storm the Capitol and stop Congress from certifying the results of the Electoral College.
Reuters reports:
The FBI has found scant evidence that the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol was the result of an organized plot to overturn the presidential election result, according to four current and former law enforcement officials.
Though federal officials have arrested more than 570 alleged participants, the FBI at this point believes the violence was not centrally coordinated by far-right groups or prominent supporters of then-President Donald Trump, according to the sources, who have been either directly involved in or briefed regularly on the wide-ranging investigations.
The FBI billed this investigation as the largest criminal case in American history with hundreds of arrests.
But so far, the vast majority are misdemeanor charges and the first guilty pleas were for parading around the Capitol.
No one was arrested under the Insurrection Act or charged with sedition, which was the first clue this was not the armed, white supremacist insurrection the corporate media built it up to be.
The Department of Justice did not charge anyone for conspiring with prominent Trump supporters to coordinate the riot.
“Ninety to ninety-five percent of these are one-off cases,” a law enforcement source told Reuters. “Then you have five percent, maybe, of these militia groups that were more closely organized. But there was no grand scheme with Roger Stone and Alex Jones and all of these people to storm the Capitol and take hostages.”
Without coordination between Trump supporters, there was not an insurrection.
Liberal investigative journalist Glenn Greenwald criticized the Biden administration for misleading the public by justifying a new domestic war on terror against Trump supporters by hyped-up charges.
“The only thing more deranged than claiming Russia had taken over control of the US through blackmail is calling January 6 an ‘Insurrection,’” Greenwald wrote.
The results of this investigation embarrassed Nancy Pelosi and the Biden administration which is why the government leaked the story on a Friday where the administration took heavy media criticism for failing to secure the release of Americans trapped behind Taliban checkpoints in Afghanistan.
It speaks to how embarrassing this story was for the Biden administration that they preferred inviting comparisons to Jimmy Carter with Biden’s weakness on the world stage to the media focusing on the FBI admitting there was no organized plot to foment an insurrection against the United States government.
