Bill Maher has become an odd choice to turn into a voice of reason on the left.
But Maher had a surprising confession to make.
And you won’t believe what Bill Maher told Jerry Seinfeld about Donald Trump.
On the latest episode of his Club Random podcast, Bill Maher laid out his problem with modern-day liberals during an interview with legendary comedian Jerry Seinfeld.
Maher explained he was so over the hysteria and doomsaying from liberals about how democracy and the world will end if Donald Trump wins the election.
“With all the bulls— going on, we live in the most amazing f—ing times,” Maher stated. “The climate change is probably going to get us at some point but it hasn’t yet.”
Maher said he tried to get it through his dinner companions’ skulls that they live in a country where they get to hang out with who they want without thinking twice about spending $700 on the meal.
“I’m sitting having dinner with people and they’re like, the world’s ending. I’m like, look around you, you f—, you dumb—,” Maher added.
“We’re at this f—ing awesome restaurant, they’re bringing us this food, this dinner’s probably going to cost $700 and I’m not even going to f—ing blink at paying the check. Shut the f— up about how terrible things are,” Maher declared.
Maher said the last thing he is going to do is allow himself to get twisted up in knots over the outcome of the election.
“I’m not going to lose my nervous system about Trump again. If he ends the world, he’s going to end the world. I’m not gonna f—ing go nuts again if he wins another term. I just can’t,” Maher continued.
Seinfeld wholeheartedly agreed and told Maher he wants to maintain the same even keel throughout November.
“I hope you have that wherewithal,” Seinfeld stated and told Maher that he is “trying to stay right there.”
The two then turned to a favorite subject of theirs, mocking woke millennial snowflakes.
“Or you can get anxious like a millennial,” Maher interjected.
“Exactly,” Seinfeld replied.
Seinfeld and Maher are two of the old guard comedians who are tired of the authoritarian speech police canceling comics for jokes they don’t like.
Seinfeld recently made headlines on a New Yorker podcast where he said the left is destroying comedy by forcing everyone to adhere to their social norms.
Maher has built himself a new reputation as a liberal contrarian for standing up to the woke ideology.
Both Maher and Seinfeld lived through Trump’s four years in office and know the sky didn’t fall.
What they’re tired of is liberals who can’t handle an election result forcing their neurosis on the rest of the country.
