Former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi was sitting on a dark secret.
But Pelosi couldn’t hide the truth forever.
And you won’t believe the ticking time bomb scandal Nancy Pelosi is sitting on.
Nancy Pelosi’s net worth exploded once she became speaker of the House in 2007.
Pelosi’s shot up by $140 million between 2008 and 2022, a period of time in which Pelosi twice served as speaker of the House.
The explosion in Pelosi’s net worth owed in large part to the fact that Pelosi’s husband, Paul, possessed the magic touch for picking stocks.
During the Great Recession, the value of the Pelosis’ stock portfolio grew by 220 percent during an era when the S&P 500 fell by 13 percent.
In the COVID pandemic the value of the Pelosis’ stocks skyrocketed by 60 percent.
The magic run in the stock continued last year as the Pelosis’ beat both the S&P 500 and the world’s oldest hedge funds.
“Pelosi’s portfolio grew 70.9% between Dec. 29, 2023, and Dec. 30, 2024, compared to the S&P 500’s 24.9% return for the period, according to financial data platform Unusual Whales’ 2024 Congress Trading Report. The former speaker’s 2024 investment results exceeded her stellar 2023 performance, when she secured a return of 65.5% — outperforming that year’s S&P 500 return of 24.8% by approximately 164%,” the Daily Caller exclusively reported.
“Pelosi outdid many of the world’s oldest and largest hedge funds in 2024, including Citadel, which had $66 billion in assets under management as of December, and Discovery Capital, which has been around for over 25 years and had $15 billion in assets under management at its peak. She also outperformed legendary investor Warren Buffet’s Berkshire Hathaway, more than doubling its 27.1% 2024 return,” the Daily Caller report continued.
A statement from Pelosi’s office denied the former speaker having any involvement in stock trades.
“Speaker Pelosi does not own any stocks, and she has no prior knowledge or subsequent involvement in any transactions,” the statement read.
But the statement didn’t address if Pelosi denied passing any insider information to her husband.
And Paul Pelosi did seem to have an uncanny ability to know when the right time to dump a stock was.
Paul Pelosi sold off $1.5 million worth of shares of Google’s parent company Alphabet before the Biden administration announced an anti-trust investigation.
Even Joe Biden knows this is a sore spot for Nancy Pelosi.
In one of his final interviews as president, Biden out of the blue announced his support for legislation banning members of Congress from trading stocks, which was widely seen as Biden trying to exact revenge on Pelosi for forcing him to throw in the towel on his re-election campaign.
