This was the moment many at CNN long hoped to see.
Donald Trump was arrested and treated like a common criminal.
And CNN went into meltdown mode over what Donald Trump just did to his mug shot.
Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis wanted to milk arresting Donald Trump for all it was worth.
The Democrat prosecutor forced Trump to pose for a mug shot in an act of humiliation Democrats were sure would finish Trump once and for all.
Instead, Trump owned the mug shot on his own terms.
Trump used the mug shot to make a triumphant return to Twitter after a two-year absence following his banning after the events of January 6 and Elon Musk reinstating his account after purchasing the platform.

An on-air freakout by Jake Tapper and Alayna Treene followed during which Treene whined that the Trump campaign used the flight down to Atlanta to plot how to use the mug shot to make lemonade out of lemons.
The main point of debate centered around what pose and facial expression Trump should adopt.
Trump – Treene reported – went with the idea of a stern expression of determination which ended up conveying strength and determination.
“Right, well, Jake, the former President’s team had actually discussed, what they wanted that mug shot, to look like, prior to him going to the Fulton County Jail, and taking it. And the former President himself ultimately decided that he wanted to look, quote, ‘Defiant.’ That is something that his advisers have told me. And he chose purposefully not to smile,” Treene told Tapper.
“Now, of course, you can tell that the former President and his team are taking a lot of attention to this mug shot. They’re sharing it. The former President just rejoined Twitter, also recently rebranded as X, to share that mug shot. And, I think, you can expect them, to fundraise off of it, as they have fundraised off of fake mug shot, in the past,” Treene continued.
“And so, from my conversations, with them, also on the ground, here, in Atlanta, they were happy with how that looked. Of course, that is what they are telling us. There’s always a different picture, behind-the-scenes. I also know that Donald Trump, despite wanting to appear defiant, today, has been frustrated, about this process, was frustrated that he had to come, to Georgia, and go through another process, like this, yet again,” Treene added.
And in an even more distressing development for CNN and their allies in the Democrat Party, the mug shot turned into an iconic image providing rocket fuel for Trump’s political prospects as the campaign raised $7.1 million in the two days after Trump posted the mug shot on Twitter.
