Barron Trump was one of the breakout stars from the 2024 election.
The immediate question of is Barron Trump would run for office came up.
And Donald Trump dropped this bombshell about Barron Trump running for office in the future.
As American Patriot Daily reports:
There was no bigger breakout star in the 2024 election than Barron Trump.
It was Barron Trump who handpicked all the podcasts his father appeared on that were a part of the campaign’s media strategy.
When the family took the stage at the victory rally on Inauguration Day, Barron Trump got the biggest round of applause of anyone.
Donald Trump’s other children are deeply involved in his business or political operation.
Laura Ingraham wanted to know which of those paths Barron Trump would choose.
“What do you see for his future, given his aptitude in certain areas? Business? Politics? What?” Ingraham asked Trump during an interview on her Fox News program.
President Trump swelled with parental pride and couldn’t pass up a chance to brag about how smart and accomplished all of his kids are.
But Trump said he thought Barron would take the business route.
“I think business, and I think he could probably — if you look at my kids, all my kids are sort of — they have been very good. They have been very smart, always good students, always the big schools, the good schools, hard-to-get-into schools,” Trump began.
Like most parents, Trump couldn’t help but talk about his kids.
“Now, Barron’s a very smart guy, but Eric and Don, Tiffany, Ivanka, they’re smart people. I’m lucky. Look, you have to be a little bit lucky too. It’s not like that, but they seem to be very smart. Not only seem to be. They are very smart. And they’re good kids. And they work hard, and they love our country and they’re proud of their father,” Trump continued.
Ingraham tried another way and reminded Trump how his father Fred thought Donald had a talent for music and inquired if Trump saw a similar aptitude in his son for business or politics.
“You talked the other day about how music was your aptitude as a child, that your father saw that you had a musical aptitude. And so it’s kind of obvious in kids early on what they’re good at.” Ingraham then went on to ask, “But is Barron’s aptitude, in your view, business or politics?” Ingraham wondered.
Ingraham kept prodding about Barron Trump’s possible political future as a J&L Partners/Daily Mail poll showed 49 percent of Republicans want Barron Trump to run for president in the future when he turns the constitutionally mandated age of 35.
But Trump went down a different road saying he thought his son’s talents lie in technology.
In a humanizing moment, Trump acted like every grandparent and couldn’t help but marvel at how the younger generation easily navigated modern technology as Trump said he was amazed at the ease with which Barron Trump turned on his laptop.
“Maybe technology. He can look at a computer. I try turning off his — turn it off. I turn off his laptop. I said, oh, good. Now — and I go back five minutes later, he’s got his laptop,” Trump stated.
“How’d you do that?” Trump recounted.
“None of your business, dad,” Trump told Ingraham his son replied.
Ingraham kept asking Donald Trump if Barron Trump would run for president for the same reason the J&L Partners/Daily Mail poll showed Barron Trump as a possible presidential candidate.
Republicans like how Donald Trump remade the Republican Party from a party of establishment country club RINOs into a coalition of working-class populist conservatives.
And the idea of Barron Trump running for office in the future serves as a proxy for wanting the Trump version of the GOP to continue on once Trump leaves office on January 20, 2029.
