John Fetterman is trying to pull a fast one on Donald Trump and the American people.
But Fetterman couldn’t keep up the act forever.
And John Fetterman made one damning admission that could end his career.
John Fetterman spent three months after the election trying to look like a Trump supporter.
Fetterman met with Trump at Mar-a-Lago.
Fetterman claimed he supports some of Trump’s foreign policy initiatives like acquiring Greenland.
But when it was time for the rubber to meet the road, Fetterman showed his true colors.
And Fetterman revealed he is a down-the-line leftist.
Fetterman is up for re-election in 2028.
That means Fetterman knows he needs to win center-right independents in Pennsylvania who voted for Donald Trump as well as the left-wing base.
To thread that needle Fetterman has taken to saying conservative-sounding things – he told Puck’s Tara Palmeri that the party brand was toxic with men – and hoping that provides cover for voting like a Bernie bro.
Fetterman voted for some Trump nominees like Attorney General Pam Bondi because the confirmation was never in doubt as all 53 Republicans were “yes” votes.
But Fetterman announced he was voting “no” on Tulsi Gabbard and Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s nominations for director of National Intelligence and secretary of Health and Human Services.
“I have met with most of the cabinet nominees and have carefully watched their confirmation hearings. After considering what’s at stake, I have voted against moving forward to the confirmation of Ms. Gabbard and Mr. Kennedy, and will be voting NO on their confirmations,” Fetterman wrote on social media.
Mitch McConnell, Lisa Murkowski and likely one other RINO will vote “no” on Gabbard and Kennedy.
That means Fetterman would be the 51st “yes” vote if he supported them.
And Fetterman will never vote with Donald Trump when it counts.
But Fetterman’s act is wearing thin.
Nicole Shanahan was Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s running mate.
Shanahan called out Fetterman as a fraud who dresses in what he thinks are working-class costumes to hide his leftist agenda.
“Fetterman toys with the ideal of being a strong American Man, but he is a lazy slob who can’t get to the gym in spite of wearing gym clothes all day long. I do not expect someone who can’t manage to dress themself to make good decisions, let alone those as important as the health of a nation,” Shanahan wrote on social media.
“I’m not trolling. This is an honest assessment given the outfit he wore to the President of the United State’s Inauguration. What can you realistically expect from someone who treats the American people like this?” Shanahan added.
