The fake news media is throwing everything all the way to stop President Trump’s agenda.
But the press suffered a brutal setback.
And Karline Leavitt destroyed the liberal media with one brutal truth about DOGE.
As West Wing Daily reports:
The media mob meltdown over Elon Musk and the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) rooting out waste, fraud, and abuse across the federal budget is a sight to behold.
DOGE’s latest target is the Social Security Administration where Musk found millions of records supposedly showing Americans in their 100s collecting payments.
Musk stated this was the Democrat Party funneling money to illegal aliens so they stay in the country in hopes of making them voters through a mass amnesty bill.
A report by the Social Security Administration’s inspector general in August 2024 showed the agency paid out $71 billion in fraudulent payments.
This fact became a bone of contention for liberal NBC reporter Peter Alexander who tried to trick Leavitt into saying Musk and DOGE never discovered any fraud in government because no indictments were forthcoming.
Leavitt didn’t take the bait and instead hammered home the point that DOGE was exposing to the public the billions of dollars Democrats flushed down the toilet for nonsense like DEI programs.
“It’s a clever question. First of all, I think all Americans would agree that funding mastectomies in Mozambique is not something that the American people should be funding — or DEI [Diversity, Equity and Inclusion] programs — I think it’s fraudulent that the American government has been ripping off taxpayers in this way,” Leavitt began.
Leavitt then noted that fraud in government was a documented fact by virtue of the Social Security Administration’s inspector general’s report pertaining to the $71 billion.
“And we also do know there has been extensive fraud, particularly if you look at Social Security. In fact, according to an IG [Inspector General] report from the Social Security Administration, there was $71 billion worth of fraud in one single fiscal year that we know about. And so, that is a lot of fraud, Peter, that the government has admitted to. So this administration is committed to finding even more of that fraud, waste and abuse,” Leavitt added.
Alexander than began to quibble with Leavitt and make it seem like the fraud was better because it took place over seven years instead of one.
“To be clear, that $71 billion was from 2015 to 2022, so it wasn’t in just one year —” Alexander stated.
That led Leavitt to move to game, set, and match by asking Alexander why he was defending the idea that $71 billion in fraudulent spending was acceptable because it took place over multiple years.
“So are you defending $71 billion in fraud, Peter? That’s a lot of money. Far too much. And that’s why this administration — why is the media so against cutting waste, fraud and abuse from the government? I don’t get it,” Leavitt replied.
“I just want to ask a question,” Alexander stammered.
But Leavitt bulldozed ahead, informing Alexander that big-government apologists like him wouldn’t stop DOGE from slashing government spending so America can finally begin to pay down its $36 trillion debt, which is the number-one cause of the inflation crisis.
“We won’t be deterred — we will not be deterred from people like you and the press who are clearly adamantly opposed to cutting waste, fraud and abuse, but we know that American taxpayers at home, who have been struggling with an inflationary crisis, don’t want their tax dollars going towards crazy DEI programs in countries overseas,” Leavitt declared.
Leavitt then told Alexander the American people certainly disagreed with him and that they wouldn’t tolerate $71 billion in fraudulent Social Security spending.
When Alexander tried to interrupt again, Leavitt shut him down. “They also don’t like the fact that there has been $71 billion worth of fraud in Social Security and improper payments going out the door. That’s a problem that needs to be fixed, and President Trump is going to fix it,” Leavitt continued.
When Alexander tried to interrupt again, Leavitt shut him down for good, saying “That’s your fifth question” before moving on to another reporter.
