Kid Rock had something he needed to get off his check.
The music icon didn’t care whose feathers he ruffled.
And Kid Rock gave Michelle Obama a piece of his mind and no one could believe why.
The apparent reason for her absence was not wanting to sit next to Donald Trump.
For the inauguration, Michelle Obama isn’t making any secrets that she just wants to boycott Donald Trump’s presence entirely as she announced she wouldn’t attend the inauguration and didn’t give any reason as to why.
“Former President Barack Obama is confirmed to attend the 60th Inaugural Ceremonies. Former First Lady Michelle Obama will not attend the upcoming inauguration,” a statement from the office of Barack and Michelle Obama read.
Kid Rock reacted to Michelle Obama’s petulance on Jesse Watters’ Fox News show.
“She seems a little angry,” Kid Rock joked when Watters asked him about Michelle Obama boycotting the inauguration.
But then Kid Rock made a serious point.
Kid Rock told Watters that he played at Barack Obama’s inauguration even though he didn’t vote for Obama because he was asked and he respects the office of the president.
Michelle Obama should keep that in mind, Kid Rock told Watters.
“I would kindly remind her that years back when Obama was first elected, I did not vote for him. But they asked me to play the inauguration. And I played it and I went,” Kid Rock stated. “I had a good time. I went out of respect for the president so I would kindly remind Michelle about that.”
But this is an issue of personal pique.
A source close to the Obamas told the New York Post that the former first lady won’t attend the inauguration just so the world can see just how much she hates Donald Trump.
“She’s never been fake and she’s never been phony. She’s always been very deliberate about where and how she shows up,” the source began.
“She showed up reluctantly for the election. They were united, but she doesn’t have to unify around [Trump]. She doesn’t have to say anything. Her absence speaks volumes,” the source explained.
In a podcast interview with the show The Light, Michelle Obama said it pained her physically to sit on the inauguration stage in 2017 and watch Trump take the oath of office because it didn’t look like photographs from a DEI manual.
“To sit on that stage and watch the opposite of what we represented on display — there was no diversity, there was no color on that stage. There was no reflection of the broader sense of America,” Obama recounted.
During her speech at the Democratic National Convention, Michelle Obama launched into an unhinged rant falsely claiming Donald Trump only opposed her and Barack Obama because they are black.
“For years, Donald Trump did everything in his power to try to make people fear us. See, his limited, narrow view of the world made him feel threatened by the existence of two hard-working, highly educated, successful people who happen to be black,” Michelle Obama raged.
As for Donald Trump and his time, they find the whole thing ridiculous and Michelle Obama to be an embarrassing figure.
“They are having a good laugh,” a Trump transition team source relayed to the Post.
“They didn’t expect her to come anyway,” the source admitted.
