In 2023, Bud Light learned that when you go woke, you go broke.
Now no one can believe what is happening.
And Bud Light wants to get back in Donald Trump’s good graces after this woke betrayal.
Bud Light kicked off a massive consumer backlash against the woke agenda when it signed a sponsorship deal with transgender social media influencer Dylan Mulvaney.
Some woke marketing executives thought Bud Light “getting with the times” and embracing the idea of promoting transgenderism to young people would attract new beer drinkers.
But these marketing geniuses forgot who drank Bud Light in the first place.
Americans in Middle America grew tired of a bunch of coastal elites shoving their culture war down their throats.
That’s how the Bud Light boycott organically sprang up on social media.
Music stars like Travis Tritt and Kid Rock supercharged the effort by publicly supporting the Bud Light boycott.
Within weeks Bud Light sales plunged 25 percent and retailers eliminated shelf space for Bud Light realizing the customer base was never returning.
A vendor that bottled Bud Light laid off hundreds of workers due to the declining demand for the beer.
Products that companies market to blue-state America can afford to bend the knee to the woke mob.
Bud Light ignored the simple fact that their customers were not wine moms in the suburbs or TikTok addicts that think promoting transgenderism to young people is a sign of societal progress.
The company refused to apologize or renounce the Mulvaney marketing campaign.
Instead, Anheuser-Busch tried to win back its lost customers through a $100 million deal to become the official beer sponsor of the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
“Anheuser-Busch and Bud Light were UFC’s original beer sponsors more than fifteen years ago,” UFC CEO Dana White’s statement on the Anheuser-Busch deal read. “I’m proud to announce we are back in business together. There are many reasons why I chose to go with Anheuser-Busch and Bud Light, most importantly because I feel we are very aligned when it comes to our core values and what the UFC brand stands for. I’m looking forward to all of the incredible things we will do in the years ahead.”
As professional sports leagues like the NFL, NBA and NHL went woke, the UFC went in the opposite direction.
CEO Dana White endorsed Trump in the 2016 and 2020 elections and top-drawing fighters like Colby Covington are unabashed Trump supporters.
When Trump showed up at UFC 290 in July, he received a conquering hero’s welcome.

But will affiliating itself with the most pro-Trump sports organization get Bud Light out of the doghouse?
Or will this deal infuriate Trump supporters who saw the UFC as a professional sports organization that shared their values?
