Fox News is playing for keeps to censor Tucker Carlson.
But Carlson has one trick in his back pocket.
And Tucker Carlson has one stunning plan to win revenge on Fox News.
Fox News recently issued a cease-and-desist letter to Carlson threatening legal action if Carlson continued to post new episodes of “Tucker on Twitter.”
Carlson and Fox News are locked in a legal battle over Fox trying to bench Carlson through the end of his contract in 2024 to prevent him from restarting his show on a competing network.
The increasingly bitter battle between Carlson and Fox News took another turn when Carlson’s lawyer, Harmeet Dhillon, explained her recent absence from Fox News.
Dhillon is one of the most forceful and effective voices in the conservative legal movement and viewers began to notice that as the witch hunts into Donald Trump accelerated, Dhillon was not on Fox News to make sense of the chances that the Democrats’ lawfare against Donald Trump would succeed.
But in a series of social media posts, Dhillon revealed she is boycotting Fox News over their attempts to chill free speech by keeping Tucker Carlson off the air.
“For all the friends who have been asking ‘why don’t we see you on Fox anymore?’ — This is why. I am passionately committed to free speech and a free flow of information necessary for a free society. Until Fox stops trying to silence Tucker, it’s not a place for me. And I feel for my friends working at the network which has clearly caved into pressure from some quarter to silence @TuckerCarlson. What you are seeing on Fox today is a censored version of the news. Keep that in mind as you make your viewing and your commenting choices,” Dhillon posted.
Tucker Carlson has no agreement with Twitter.
Fox News claiming Tucker can’t post videos to his own social media account is essentially the network claiming they own Tucker Carlson as a person and he isn’t free to speak until the end of 2024.
Dhillon said other conservatives could help turn up the heat on Fox News by joining the boycott until Fox agrees to let Tucker out of his contract.
“For all the members of Congress, culture warriors, ‘influencers,’ @GOP officials — do you really want to air your views on a network that spits on its viewers, leaks oppo on its own talent, and even threatens former talent for speaking, for free, on @Twitter?! You have free will!” Dhillon added.
Conservative boycotts of woke corporations are proving to be highly effective.
Target and Bud Light lost billions after every-day Americans stopped patronizing those brands because they decided to insult the values of their customers.
By threatening Carlson with financially crippling legal action over Carlson posting video to social media, Fox News is declaring war on the First Amendment.
And prominent grassroots champion and Carlson lawyer, Harmeet Dhillon, says it’s time for conservatives to fight back.
