Donald Trump’s strained relationship with Fox News is coming to a head.
Fox News coverage is getting worse in the wake of Democrats weaponizing the justice system to interfere in the 2024 election.
A Fox News host blindsided viewers with one question about Trump’s arrest.
Fox News host Neil Cavuto has long been one of Donald Trump’s biggest skeptics on the network.
Cavuto would routinely conduct so-called “fact checks” the likes of which viewers usually see the left-wing activists on CNN run to attack Trump on issues such as the election and COVID.
Now Cavuto is attacking Trump over the 91 criminal charges partisan Democrat prosecutors filed against Trump.
In an interview with Trump’s fellow Republican presidential rival, Vivek Ramaswamy, Cavuto attacked Ramaswamy for saying he would pardon Trump on federal charges if Ramaswamy won the presidency.
Cavuto went so far as to adopt one of the most un-American talking points ever heard on Fox News by claiming that if the government filed charges against Trump he must be guilty of something.
“But there are 91 criminal charges in all of that, as you’re aware, over four criminal cases. They can’t all be politicized, can they? I mean, there’s something that the former president must have done in any one of these that struck you as wrong, if not illegal,” Cavuto asked.
Ramaswamy rejected the totalitarian thought that the government doesn’t make mistakes or file charges for political reasons as bunk that no American should accept as legitimate.
“I think, Neil, just because the government has brought a case, if we’re going to be a culture that now starts to say there must be something wrong if the government has charged 91 counts, I think that’s a people of sheep. And when the people behave like sheep, that breeds a government of wolves,” Ramaswamy answered.
But Cavuto would not budge and insisted that because Democrat prosecutors – two of whom depend on winning elections in having Democrat districts – are bringing charges against the Republican Party frontrunner for president, Trump must be guilty of something.
“You don’t think there’s anything in this case that shows or even strongly hints of the former president trying to reverse that Georgia, that Georgia contest?” Cavuto wondered.
Ramaswamy would not entertain the idea that just because the government charges someone they are automatically guilty.
“Neil, you know, I’ve had this conversation before,” Ramaswamy stated.
Cavuto’s comments show how people who hate Donald Trump are willing to throw out all constitutional norms and guardrails on government.
Democrats are so terrified that Trump can win a second term that they draft the Justice Department and partisan prosecutors into the “Stop Trump” effort.
And Cavuto is so dead set against Trump that he tossed aside the fundamental American principle of “innocent until proven guilty” to presume Trump’s guilt just because Joe Biden and his Democrat prosecutors said so.
