Polls show Trump leading Joe Biden nationally and in key swing states.
In response, Joe Biden weaponized the justice system to do his dirty work for him in the 2024 election.
But now Joe Biden’s plan to jail Trump fell apart because of this spectacular courtroom admission.
The centerpiece of anti-Trump special counsel Jack Smith’s case against Trump was an audio tape Smith leaked to the corporate media.
On the tape, Donald Trump allegedly discussed a U.S. military plan for war with Iran that Trump said Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Mark Milley designed.
Smith leaked the tape because Trump claimed battle plans were classified.
But Trump told Semafor and ABC News he was just blustering and never actually had a top-secret plan for war with Iran.
“I would say it was bravado, if you want to know the truth, it was bravado,” Trump stated. “I was talking and just holding up papers and talking about them, but I had no documents. I didn’t have any documents.”
A new report from CBS News bolstered Trump’s defense.
CBS reported that the Iranian battle plan was not one of the documents Smith charged Trump with possessing.
“The Defense Department memo on Iran — at the heart of the now-public audio recording that captured a July 2021 meeting with former President Donald Trump — is not part of the 31 counts of willful retention of national defense information charged in special counsel Jack Smith’s indictment of the former president, a source familiar with the matter confirmed to CBS News,” CBS News exclusively reported.
There is also no indication Trump’s team turned over an Iranian battle plan prior to Joe Biden’s FBI sending in a tactical team to raid Mar-a-Lago.
That’s because Trump’s lawyers never found a memo outlining U.S. war plans for a conflict with Iran.
“Multiple sources familiar with the investigation previously told CBS News that defense attorneys were not certain the Iran memo in question was ever recovered and returned to the government. Still, the 2021 incident is one of two instances referenced in the indictment, in which Smith describes Trump allegedly showing national defense information to individuals without proper clearance,” CBS News also reported.
The Iran war plan incident was one of two examples Smith used to claim Trump endangered national security by exposing military secrets to individuals who lacked the proper clearance.
But the fact that Smith did not charge Trump with withholding an Iran war plan and Trump’s lawyers reported never finding a plan for war with Iran means Smith is charging Trump with sharing secrets that were never in Trump’s possession.
