Companies refuse to learn their lesson about fighting the culture wars.
Some of the world’s biggest corporations suffered greatly for bending the knee.
And Coca-Cola had to apologize after this woke tribute blew up in its face.
Coca-Cola joins Bud Light and Target as iconic American brands that found out going woke is bad for business.
Coca-Cola saw how the massive boycotts against Target and Bud Light punished those companies’ bottom line.
The team at Coca-Cola sought to head any trouble off at the pass by deleting a reference to the company donating $500,000 to the violent Black Lives Matter group.
“Earlier this month, Sprite announced a $500,000 contribution to the Black Lives Matter Global Network in a social post committing action in the fight for racial justice. On June 28, the brand debuted a new TV commercial during the 2020 BET Awards telecast showcasing Black America’s resilience, excellence and optimism. The 60-second spot titled ‘Dreams Realized’ emphasizes Sprite’s commitment to making young Black creators’ dreams a reality and to inspire the next generation to do more and dream bigger,” Coca-Cola’s website stated.
Black Lives Matter staging an insurrection during the summer of 2020 where dozens of Americans died and major cities burned should have been enough for Coca-Cola to wash their hands of this outfit.
But the final straw came when Black Lives Matter Chicago posted a graphic online in support of Hamas after the terrorist attack in Israel.
The official Chicago chapter of Black Lives Matter released a graphic of a Hamas paraglider with the text: “I stand with Palestine.” A unit of Hamas militants used paragliders and hang gliders to launch their armed massacre of civilians in southern Israel. Texas Senator Ted Cruz noticed Coca-Cola’s support for the pro-Hamas Black Lives Matter and announced he would call out the company on his podcast for financially supporting anti-Semitic communists.
“On Verdict, we name names and blast corporate America for standing with Marxists who celebrated Hamas’s mass murder of Israelis,” Cruz posted.
On the podcast, Cruz called out Coca-Cola and Black Lives Matter’s other corporate benefactors to shame them for propping up a violent and bigoted group.
“For every corporate donor who sent millions to BLM—including Amazon, Apple, BlackRock & Bank of America—do you regret supporting such a virulently antisemitic organization?” Cruz declared.
“Do you support Black Lives Matter’s Marxist agenda supporting Hamas? Are you antisemites? Do you support that we need to end Israel?” Cruz asked.
Coca-Cola attempting to memory hole their support for Black Lives Matter was not the result of executives realizing they committed a wrong and trying to get out in front to make matters right.
Cruz caught Coca-Cola red-handed in deleting the pro-Black Lives Matter language only after Cruz exposed them on social media.
2/x October 17: my congressional investigators find that Coca-Cola’s website listed its donation to BLM.
October 18: I call out Coca-Cola for donating to BLM. https://t.co/P8hpQMQNxq
