House Republicans keep gathering evidence about Joe Biden’s corruption.
Conservatives are stunned to see just how swampy Biden’s behavior really was.
And no one could believe what Jim Jordan said about impeaching Joe Biden.
As Great American Daily reports:
House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) set off a political earthquake by subpoenaing an FBI document from 2020 that outlines bribery allegations against Joe Biden from when Biden served as vice president.
Comer said a credible whistleblower stepped forward with these allegations that Biden took money from a foreign national in exchange for favorable policy outcomes.
“Based on those disclosures, it has come to our attention that the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) possess an unclassified FD-1023 form that describes an alleged criminal scheme involving then-Vice President Biden and a foreign national relating to the exchange of money for policy decisions. It has been alleged that the document includes a precise description of how the alleged criminal scheme was employed as well as its purpose,” Comer’s subpoena letter to FBI Director Christopher Wray outlined.
Texas Senator Ted Cruz said Joe Biden allegedly pocketing money to influence American policy fights the Constitution’s very definition of a high crime and misdemeanor that rose to the level of an impeachable offense.
“It doesn’t have to be a high crime or misdemeanor because the Constitution specifies that impeachment lies for treason, bribery, other high crimes or misdemeanors,” Cruz said. “Bribery is explicitly noted in the Constitution. And I gotta say, the evidence, not only against Hunter Biden, but the evidence against Joe Biden being complicit and profiting from this corruption is growing and growing and growing,” Cruz explained.
But House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan — who would oversee any impeachment inquiry into Joe Biden — pooh-poohed the talk about filing articles of impeachment in an interview with Punchbowl News saying removing Joe Biden from office is not the GOP’s priority.
“You think about [Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro] Mayorkas, he certainly warrants impeachment, but that’s a decision we have to make as a conference…And relative to the president, of course, that’s a decision that’s going to be made by the full Republican Conference and the speaker, and no one’s really focused on that now,” Jordan stated.
Ever since the New York Post broke the bombshell story that Hunter Biden’s laptop contained evidence of an alleged Biden family influence operation the suspicions about corruption and criminal activity inched closer to Joe Biden.
Chairman Comer said his investigation into if foreign countries like Communist China compromised Joe Biden through business deals already uncovered evidence that at least six Biden family members accepted money from companies in Communist China.
Now Republicans learned there is credible evidence the FBI sat on allegations that Joe Biden allegedly accepted a bribe as part of a favor-trading scheme that benefited a foreign power.
Jim Jordan may be looking to avoid impeachment talk because it usually backfires.
In 1998 and 2020 Bill Clinton and Donald Trump’s poll numbers rose to their highest levels after the opposing party initiated an impeachment inquiry against them.
Jordan likely is worried that impeaching Biden in the House — when it is unlikely to win over 18 Democrats in the Senate to reach the 67-vote threshold for conviction — will turn the 2024 election from a referendum on Joe Biden into a referendum on the GOP’s failed impeachment attempt which will backfire.
The path Republicans choose will depend on what evidence this document the FBI concealed for three years contains.
