Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez made one demand on Joe Biden.
Ocasio-Cortez got her answer.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez got one response from Joe Biden that she never expected.
As Black Eye Politics reports:
Texas U.S. District Court Judge Matthew Kacsmaryk set off a firestorm on the left by issuing a ruling halting the FDA’s approval of the abortion-inducing drug mifepristone.
Mifepristone allowed abortionists to prescribe a drug that allowed women who lived in states with pro-life legislation to get abortions.
But since pharmacies can only distribute FDA-approved drugs Judge Kacsmaryk’s ruling stopped abortionists from being able to work around pro-life laws in red states that stopped abortion.
Ocasio-Cortez responded to the decision by calling for the end of the American system of self-government with constitutional checks and balances.
The socialist congresswoman went on CNN and ranted that Joe Biden should just ignore Judge Kacsmaryk’s decision and have the FDA declare mifepristone approved so abortionists could continue to perform abortions on demand nationwide.
“The Biden administration should ignore this ruling,” Ocasio-Cortez declared. “What they are currently doing is engaged in an unprecedented and dramatic erosion of the legitimacy of the courts. It is the justices themselves, through the deeply partisan and unfounded nature of these rulings that are undermining their own enforcements.”
Ocasio-Cortez’s call to plunge the nation into lawless anarchy did not sit well with Ocasio-Cortez’s normal allies on the left.
A reporter asked White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre if Joe Biden agreed with Ocasio-Cortez’s claim that he could defy a federal judge’s ruling.
Joe Biden is the most rogue and corrupt president of many Americans’ lifetimes.
Biden weaponized the government to target his opponents and tried to turn the country into a third-world banana republic by trying to throw the chief political rival in jail.
But ignoring a judge’s ruling was a bridge too far for Biden as Jean-Pierre called flouting a federal judge a “dangerous precedent.”
“We understand the frustration,” Jean-Pierre began. “We get the frustration regarding this decision, absolutely, and that’s why we were quick to act. That’s why you saw DOJ [Department of Justice] take action … we stand by FDA’s approval of mifepristone and we’re prepared to have a long legal fight here. That’s our commitment to women out there, that’s our commitment to Americans across the country. But, I’ll say this. It is dangerous … as a precedent. As a dangerous precedent is set for a court to set aside the FDA’s expert judgement regarding a drug’s safety and efficiency, it would also set a dangerous precedent for the administration to disregard a binding decision.”
“So, that’s what I’m getting to. But again, we are ready to fight, this is going to be a long fight. We understand this,” Jean-Pierre added.
