Florida Governor Ron DeSantis trails Donald Trump in the polls and is trying to mount a comeback.
DeSantis needs all the help he can get.
And Megyn Kelly gave Ron DeSantis one piece of advice that will drive Democrats insane.
The 2024 campaign is not playing out like Ron DeSantis expected.
DeSantis’s poll numbers flatlined and his fundraising fell short forcing his campaign to fire around a dozen staffers.
Donald Trump is consolidating his lead in the polls and support from the GOP grassroots.
DeSantis tried to begin his turnaround with a solid performance at the Iowa Family Leadership candidate forum moderated by Tucker Carlson.
Megyn Kelly thought Carlson was the clear winner of that event.
And in an interview with The Daily Signal’s Mary Olohan, Kelly suggested that DeSantis do interviews with media outlets like MSNBC to show GOP voters he can fight back against the left.
“I really think the number one thing he needs to do is get himself in front of adversarial liberal media and fight,” Kelly stated.
“If he could just get in front of these, you know, go on MSNBC, that’s what I would tell him to do,” Kelly added.
“MSNBC, that’s your top choice?” Olohan asked.
“Do it, or Meet the Press, I mean, any show on CNN, everybody is left-wing other than sort of Fox and digital media so take your pick. But he should get out there and fight,” Kelly continued.

DeSantis appears to be taking that advice as he will sit down for an interview with CNN’s left-wing activist Jake Tapper.
But the DeSantis team does not want to admit this is a shift in strategy because that would be an admission their initial strategy is failing.
“The corporate media has gotten a lot wrong, and many outlets have an agenda. Therefore, we don’t consider them entitled to time or access,” DeSantis spokesman Bryan Griffin said. “Nonetheless there are many good journalists and truth-seeking reporters, including in mainstream media outlets, and we will work with them on our terms. That’s always been the plan.”
The DeSantis team is desperate to reverse a narrative that is settling in about the campaign failing to gain traction and falling so far behind Donald Trump that donors are hunting around for a new option to stop Donald Trump.
DeSantis is trying to keep his establishment donors on board by demonstrating he has a comeback plan.
And that plan starts with taking Megyn Kelly’s advice and engaging with liberal activists in the media.
