The more Republicans learn about Nikki Haley the less there is to like.
Haley is fully embracing her status as the handpicked RINO for the Never Trump establishment.
And you won’t believe what Nikki Haley said about Donald Trump.
Nikki Haley now has some of the highest unfavorable ratings of any remaining candidate in the GOP primary.
The only thing “surging” about Nikki Haley is how much people dislike her. Her unfavorability IN THE REPUBLICAN PARTY is now higher than Asa Hutchinsonhttps://t.co/beIZGio6Zv pic.twitter.com/m9XWWWXWMJ

Haley’s opposition to banning transgender surgeries for minor children, her willingness to accept abortion on demand, and her insistence that the war in Ukraine requires unlimited taxpayer money appealed to the donor class and repelled grassroots conservatives.
But the source of Haley’s weakness with the GOP base owes back to the divide on immigration between party elites and the base that Donald Trump exploited to win the 2016 election.
Haley is a member of the Chamber of Commerce Republicans who believe “diversity is our strength” and that mass migration into America – both legal and illegal – provides an economic benefit to big business.
In 2015, Donald Trump caught fire when the media and GOP ruling class howled in outrage over Trump declaring in his announcement speech that Mexico was sending criminal illegal aliens.
Weeks later, Haley attended the Aspen Institute’s Ideas Festival – an event where globalists gather to lay out their agenda for open borders, endless war, and redistributing wealth to third-world countries in the name of fighting climate change – to attack Trump for speaking the truth about illegal aliens being criminals.
Haley echoed Jeb Bush’s comments that illegal aliens crossing the border was an “act of love” and argued it was all about making a better life for their families.
“But let’s keep in mind, these people who are wanting to come here, they’re wanting to come for a better life too. They have kids too. They have a heart too, so we don’t need to be disrespectful. We don’t need to talk about them as criminals, they’re not. They’re families that want a better life and they’re desperate to get here,” Haley began.
Haley made no mention about how open borders and waves of illegal immigration make the lives of American families worse by straining social services, increasing crime and driving down wages.
But Haley’s instinct that the problems facing the American people aren’t as important as the elite’s desire for open borders and a steady stream of low-wage workers is why conservatives inherently distrust Haley.
This is now a major issue in the 2024 campaign.
The Trump campaign is up on the air in New Hampshire hammering Haley over her past comments opposing Trump’s border wall and travel ban for countries that support terrorism.

Trump also called out Haley for siding with Barack Obama and against him in the immigration debate.

Nikki Haley speaks the language of a bygone Republican Party establishment that Donald Trump ousted from power because those elites actively worked against their voters’ interests.
And the clearest example of the divide was always immigration as Haley and her fellow establishmentarians were more responsive to the needs of their donors than the concern of their voters.
